About this service

What this service does

We collect the performance and venue information published by KOPIS, Korea’s national performing-arts data network, make it searchable, and add work of our own on top.

Every page is available in Korean and English. Overseas audiences looking for performances in Korea have a hard time reaching the source material at all, which is the reason this site is bilingual.

• Search performances and venues by region, genre, run status and seat count
• Dates, cast, prices and ticket sellers for each performance
• Hall layouts, seat counts, addresses and directions for each venue
• Ticket sales tracked per show date
• Favourites and email alerts for signed-in users

Where the data comes from

Core performance and venue records come from the public API of KOPIS, operated by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism together with the Korea Arts Management Service.

We fetch and store that data on a schedule, so what you see is the value as of the last sync. Right after a schedule or price changes, our copy can differ from the source. Always confirm with the venue or ticket seller before booking.

Each performance and venue page shows when its information was last updated.

What we add to the source data

Copying an open dataset across is not worth anyone’s time. These are the things the source does not carry and we produce ourselves.

• Columns: our own quarter-by-quarter analysis of ticket-sales data, with the trends by genre, region and venue set out in charts.
• News: when we report a ticket opening or a sell-out, we name the sources behind it and link to the performance it concerns.
• Visiting tips: sightlines, parking, lockers — the things you only learn by going — researched and written up venue by venue.
• Verified seat counts: a venue’s seat count is the sum of its individual halls, not the venue-level figure KOPIS carries. Those two genuinely disagree for some venues, and whenever they do, the venue-level number is the inflated one.
• Bilingual coverage: performance information rewritten so it can be read in English.

Editorial principles

For everything we write ourselves:

• We do not republish anyone else’s writing verbatim. Even when a piece first appeared on our own blog elsewhere, we rewrite it for this site.
• When we quote a figure, we say which dataset it came from and what date it reflects.
• Venue details are checked against that venue’s own official information wherever possible — third-party blogs and forums go stale, and often disagree with reality.
• When we find something wrong, we correct it and record what changed.

This service is funded by advertising. Third-party advertising providers, including Google, may serve ads here and may use cookies to do so.

Ads are presented so they are distinguishable from our content, and advertisers have no influence over what performance information appears or in what order. Search results are ordered by the criteria you choose and by the data, and nothing else.
