Webtoon Daily Dose of Sunshine becomes a musical: Ewha Samsung Hall from 31 October, tickets 22 September
Daily Dose of Sunshine, a new Korean musical adapted from Lee Ra-ha's webtoon, premieres at Ewha Womans University Samsung Hall from 31 October to 22 November. Selected for the Korea Arts Management Service's 2026 large-scale musical programme, it goes on sale exclusively through Ticketlink at 2 p.m. on 22 September.

A webtoon about life inside a psychiatric ward is being set to music. According to the ticket-open notice Ticketlink posted on 18 September, the new Korean musical Daily Dose of Sunshine (〈정신병동에도 아침이 와요〉) opens on 31 October at Ewha Womans University Samsung Hall and runs through 22 November. The source is the webtoon of the same name by Lee Ra-ha, published by Wisdom House; this is its first stage adaptation.
The production was selected for the 2026 large-scale musical support programme run by the Korea Arts Management Service, which presents it, with AM Culture as producer and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as supporter. Economic Review reports a total of 24 performances across the run.

When do tickets go on sale?
At 2 p.m. on Tuesday 22 September, exclusively through Ticketlink. No other agency is selling the run. The notice went up around midday on 18 September.

Who is in the cast?
The notice named more than twenty performers at once. Nurse Jung Si-na, who looks after the ward's patients, is double cast with Yoo Ju-yeon and Choi Tae-i; Kim Do-hyun with Jung Dong-hwa and Seong-yeon; Go Bu-gi with Choi Min-woo and Cho Seong-tae.
They are joined by Jung Hye-eun (Si-na's mother), Kijun (Mr Obong), Lee Ja-yeong (Min Deul-lae), Pyo Ji-eun (Hong Go-yeong), Koo Ok-bun (Oh Ri-na), Moon Seul-a (Yeong-deok and Ri-na's mother), Jeon Min-gyu (Lee I-o), Kim Dong-hyun (Park Byung-hee), Lee Rang-seo (Han Da-ram), Kim So-yeon (Joo Won-mi), Lee Dong-ju (Hwang Yeo-hwan and others) and Ha Ye-sol (nurse and others), with Lee Heon-ju and Lee Si-yoon as swings. Apart from the leads, most of the company plays multiple roles.
On the creative side, Kim Su-a wrote the book and lyrics, Jin Young-seop directs, and Kim Hee-eun and Jung Su-yoon composed the score.
What is the minimum age?
Middle-school age and above. The running time is 150 minutes including one intermission.
What is the story?
The synopsis in the notice turns on a carer moving into the position of the cared-for. Si-na works in the psychiatric unit of Hayan Hospital, attending closely to each patient's circumstances, until a patient she is fond of makes an unexpected choice shortly before discharge. Si-na loses her way in the darkest part of the night and wakes up in an unfamiliar ward.
The original webtoon was drawn by Lee Ra-ha from her own six years working in a psychiatric ward, and ran to 210 episodes on Naver Webtoon. The musical uses 25 songs played by a seven-piece live orchestra; the opening number is 'Anyway, Good Morning'.
As of 19 September the run is not yet registered with KOPIS, Korea's performing-arts information system. The Ticketlink notice is currently the only primary source for the weekday times, prices and casting, so it is worth confirming the details against the ticketing product page and the KOPIS entry once booking opens.
