Steve Gadd, whose drumming runs through records by Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Steely Dan and Chick Corea, is coming to Seoul in January. According to the ticket-open notice Ticketlink posted on November 5, 'Steve Gadd BHG Project Blicher / Hemmer / Gadd Live in Korea' plays for 80 minutes at 7:30 PM on Friday, January 29, 2027, in the Concert Hall of Yonsei University's Centennial Memorial Hall. The presenter is Plus Hitch.
BHG takes its name from the three members' surnames. The notice introduces Gadd as a player who has shaped modern drumming on countless records since the 1970s, and describes a trio in which Blicher's saxophone and Hemmer's organ join him in a groove that mixes blues, soul and funk.
According to Drumming News Network (October 2025), the three launched the '80•60•50 Milestones Tour' in 2025 to mark Gadd turning 80, Hemmer 60 and Blicher 50, and sell the live album 'Moments Like These', recorded on their 2024 European tour, only on Bandcamp and at shows, with no streaming release. The trio's official site says it has played more than 150 concerts in Japan, Australia, the UK, Italy, Germany and Scandinavia, and returns to Japan and Europe in 2027.
