Sung Si-kyung's Tokyo solo concert sells out faster than any of his Japan shows

Sung Si-kyung's Tokyo concert has sold out. Kodansha, the Japanese publisher that signed a management and production partnership with him in April, said Sung Si Kyung Japan Concert [A Song For You 2026] at Tokyo Garden Theater on 4 October sold out in the shortest time of any of his solo concerts in Japan. It is his first solo show in Japan in about a year.

When and where is the concert?

One show on Sunday 4 October: doors at 5 p.m., start at 6 p.m., at Tokyo Garden Theater in Ariake, Koto, Tokyo. Japan and Korea share a time zone.

How much were tickets?

There were three seat grades: front seats at 18,000 yen, and reserved and restricted-view reserved seats at 14,000 yen. Front seats were sold only in the first fan club presale.

Tokyo Garden Theater warns that restricted-view seats may have the stage, production or screens partly blocked by their position or equipment, and that a poor view is not grounds for a refund or cancellation.

Can I still get a ticket?

Not at face value: every seat is sold. Sales ran through a first fan club presale and a second presale to 3 August, then the general sale on DISK GARAGE from 10 a.m. on 14 August. The venue says there will be no further sale of front seats.

What else is he doing in Japan around the show?

On 30 September, just before the concert, he releases LOVE, a cover album of Japanese classics he chose himself and sings entirely in Japanese, including songs by Ohashi Trio, Anzen Chitai, Seiko Matsuda, Gen Hoshino and Ken Hirai.

On 1 October Kodansha publishes his first guide to Korean restaurants, SUNG SI KYUNG's Deep Korea. Built on his YouTube series Meokeultende, it covers 123 restaurants, mostly in Seoul, and went to No. 1 in categories including Amazon Japan's 'talent photo book' chart right after pre-orders opened. On his channel he joked that 'among all the actors' photo books, I'm the only one holding chopsticks', adding that 'I'm supposed to hit No. 1 with an album, but No. 1 is No. 1'. On 5 October, the day after the concert, an event presenting the book to readers is held at Kinokuniya's Shinjuku main store.

At home, he played 'Ja, Oneureun' in September.
