The Helmet, the play that reunites writer Ji E-sun and director Kim Tae-hyoung, is back in front of audiences for the first time in four years. The production runs from 9 July to 11 October 2026 at the Hongik University Daehangno Art Center Small Theater, co-produced by Shownote and I'm Culture.
The Helmet divides a single stage into two spaces, the small room and the big room, and plays out two stories from different eras simultaneously on either side of one wall. "Room Seoul" deals with repression and conviction during Korea's democratisation movement; "Room Aleppo" with human dignity in a city broken by war. The cast includes Lee Seok-jun, Kim Da-huin, Oh Jung-taek, Jung Woo-yeon, Kim Ju-yeon, Kim Su-yeon and Kim Kuk-hee. It is open to ages 13 and over and runs 70 minutes without an interval.
Tickets for the 32 newly added performances between 29 September and 11 October go on sale at 2pm on Tuesday 8 September. All seats are 55,000 won.
