Synopsis
[공연소개] "식물표본 그녀의 장례 herbarium her-burial 식물 그녀 죽음 Plant her death” 서울특별시 종로구 혜화동. 수많은 몸과 빛들이 무대 위에서 명멸해온 이곳에서, 공연 <식물 그녀 죽음>은 어떻게 사라진 존재들을 불러내고 삶과 죽음, ‘너’와 ‘나’를 어떻게 겹쳐 놓을 것인가를 묻는다. 두 개의 몸을 입은 ‘나’는 오래된 장례 절차를 수행하며 식물표본의 이미지를 영사한다. 이름 붙여지지 못한 죽음, 남겨진 유해와 백골, 누군가의 무덤 앞에서의 자세와 오래된 노래의 기억이 하나의 장례식 안에서 연결된다. 식물표본(herbarium)이라는 단어에서 발견한 her/burial. 그녀를 묻다. 식물표본 안에 그녀의 죽음이 들어서 있다. 식물, 그녀, 죽음. Plant her death. 그녀의 죽음을 심으라. 그렇게 ‘나’는 식물과 백골들에 대한 애가(哀歌)를 쓰기 시작한다. 이미지와 발화로 수행되는 어느 장례식의 추도사, 끝끝내 완결되지 않는 애도의 상연을.
