Synopsis
[시놉시스] 사소한 사건으로 감옥에 가게 된 아이젠슈타인은 형 집행 전 마지막 밤을 즐기기 위해 화려한 파티로 향한다. 친구 팔케 박사는 과거의 장난에 대한 ‘박쥐의 복수’를 계획하며 인물들을 한자리에 모은다. 파티에서는 아내 로잘린데가 다른 신분으로 변장해 남편을 시험하고, 하녀 아델레는 귀부인 행세를 하며 새로운 삶을 꿈꾼다. 서로의 정체를 숨긴 채 벌어지는 유혹과 거짓말 속에서 상황은 점점 유쾌한 혼란으로 치닫는다. 다음 날 감옥에서 모든 진실이 밝혀지고, 결국 모든 소동의 원인이 ‘샴페인’이었다는 농담과 함께 웃음과 화해로 마무리된다.
