Synopsis
[공연소개] 셰익스피어 4대 비극 중 하나로 꼽히는 <리어왕>은 그 중에서도 가장 현대적인 작품으로 희비극이 공존하는 작품이다. 연출은 드라마를 거의 재창조함으로 인물들의 개성을 극화시키고, 물질에 집착하는 어리석은 노인‘리어왕’이 아닌 한 시대를 치열하게 살아온 강건한‘리어왕’으로 묘사하였다. 세대와 계층간의 갈등이 연극을 통해 현실을 들여다볼 수 있는 새로운 시각을 탄생할 수 있을 것이다.
