Synopsis
[공연소개] 제주 세화리의 해녀 고이래, 그녀는 어느 날 ‘호국 영웅’이라 불리는 장교의 동상을 전기톱으로 베어 쓰러뜨린다. 그녀는 왜 그랬을까? 조사 과정에서 밝혀지는 건, 1948년 4·3의 상처와 함께 묻혀 있던 한 여성과 그 딸의 이야기. 해녀들의 손끝에 남은 소금기, 억눌린 세월 끝에 피어난 동백처럼 한 세대의 침묵과 기억이 제주 바다 위로 떠오른다. 이 작품은 ‘동백 아가씨’의 선율과 제주 방언이 교차하며, 과거와 현재, 억압과 저항, 망각과 기억을 잇는 여성 서사의 연극적 복원이다.
