Boohwal — formed in 1985 and, through songs such as 희야, 비와 당신의 이야기 and 네버엔딩 스토리, one of the defining bands of Korean rock — are touring the country to mark forty years since their debut. The Suwon leg plays at 5pm on Saturday 5 December at the Grand Theater of Gyeonggi Arts Centre.
In its programme note the promoter called the band "more than a band — a symbol that has kept the identity and the spirit of Korean rock alive", adding that "all of those years are now summoned back on stage". Bandleader Kim Tae-won performs with the rest of the group, and the concert runs 120 minutes with no interval.
Tickets go on sale at 2pm on Wednesday 9 September. R seats are 143,000 won and S seats 121,000 won, with a 30% discount for disabled patrons and holders of national merit status, extended to one companion, on presentation of documentation. The concert is presented by Gyeonggi Arts Centre and Yeon Planning, and produced by Haneul ENT. The Grand Theater is registered with KOPIS at 1,544 seats.
