Four days after opening in Seoul, the Busan dates are confirmed. According to the official booking notice on NOL Ticket, the musical Gwanghwamun Sonata plays at 2pm and 6:30pm on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November at Dream Theatre Busan — four performances over two days.
The Seoul run registered with KOPIS, Korea's performing-arts database, opened on 6 September and runs to 15 November at the D-Cube Theatre at D-Cube Link Art Center in Guro-gu, Seoul. The Busan dates begin six days after the Seoul closing, so the production moves straight from the capital to the regions. The show previously toured Goyang, Gunsan, Daejeon and Daegu between February and March 2025.
The Busan casting was announced with the dates. Son Jun-ho and Lee Seok-hoon share the lead role of Myung-woo, and Enoch, Cha Ji-yeon and Seo Eun-kwang play Wolha, the keeper of fated encounters. Ryu Seung-ju plays Su-ah, Moon Jin-ah and Park Se-mi play Si-young, Ki Se-jung and Park Hee-jun the younger Myung-woo, Kim Seo-yeon and Lee Eun-jeong the younger Su-ah, and Kim Min-su plays Joong-gon. The creative team is unchanged from Seoul: writer Ko Sun-woong, director Lee Ji-na, arranger and music director Kim Sung-soo, and choreographer Seo Byung-koo. The score is drawn from the songs of the late composer Lee Young-hoon, including Red Sunset, Old Love and Flying Through the Deep Night.
Tickets are 160,000 won for a VIP seat, 140,000 won for Seat R, 110,000 won for Seat S and 80,000 won for Seat A. Admission is for ages 8 and over, restricted to those born in 2019 or earlier, and preschool-age children are not admitted. Discounts run at 20% for holders of a severe disability registration (grades 1 to 3) on up to two tickets including their own, 20% on one ticket for a mild registration (grades 4 to 6) and for national merit recipients, and 20% for young people on Seats S and A only. Day-by-day casting is on the booking page. As of 10 September the Busan dates are not separately registered on KOPIS, and no further regional dates have been announced.
