Taemin opens his second world tour with three Seoul nights and a full new-EP set

Taemin opened his new world tour in Seoul. According to the entry registered with KOPIS, Korea's performing-arts information system, TAEMIN WORLD TOUR: LiMiNaL in Seoul played three times — 8 p.m. on Friday 18 September, 6 p.m. on Saturday the 19th and 5 p.m. on Sunday the 20th — at the indoor gymnasium of the Jamsil Sports Complex in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The shows were built around the narrative of his new EP 'PHASE 1 : SOFT VIOLENCE', released in August, and were the first time he performed every track on it.

Is this Taemin's first world tour?
No — it is his second. Herald Muse described these Seoul shows as the opening of a second world tour, and KOPIS still holds 'TAEMIN WORLD TOUR: Ephemeral Gaze Finale', staged at Olympic Park on 26–27 April 2025. It is, however, his first headline world tour since moving to Galaxy Corporation: the 2025 tour was produced by Balgeunnuri, while this one lists Galaxy Corporation as presenter, producer and planner alike.
What did he perform?
Taemin opened with 'IDEA:理想' and 'Advice', then moved through the new songs 'PARASITE' and 'This Is The End' and the older hits 'Guilty' and 'WANT'. Midway he sat at the piano in a black suit for rearranged versions of 'Frankenstein', 'MOVE' and 'Press Your Number'. The later stretch brought the new album's double title tracks 'FLOAT' and 'Gooey' along with 'Sober' and 'SKIN', completing the first live performance of the whole record, and the encore added 'Let Me Be The One', 'Easy Loving You' and '1004' for a set list of more than twenty songs.

His agency puts the tour at twelve cities across three regions. The first announced leg lists, after Seoul, the American cities of San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Prairie, Chicago and New York, plus Monterrey and Mexico City in Mexico, Santiago in Chile and Lima in Peru. Seoul was the first stop.
What does 'LiMiNaL' mean?
It comes from the Latin 'limen', meaning a threshold or boundary. The tour takes the word to mean that a boundary is not an ending but the moment a new change begins.
