The brothers' time-travelling journey to meet King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sun-sin continues this winter too. According to a notice Ticketlink posted on the afternoon of 11 September, the K-pop musical Joseon Magician Jinjun opens on Saturday 7 November and plays to Thursday 31 December at the Yong Theater at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The National Museum Foundation of Korea presents it, and produces it with Family and Culture.
Set against the KOPIS record, this season is nearly a week longer than last year's. The previous season opened on 13 November 2025 and closed on 31 December; this year the closing date stays the same while the opening moves six days earlier, to 7 November. The venue and the seat prices are unchanged: four grades at 77,000 won (VIP), 66,000 won (R), 44,000 won (S) and 33,000 won (A). The Yong Theater is a national venue seating 805.
The schedule varies by day. Tuesday to Friday has a single 11am performance; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays have three, at 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm. There are exceptions at the end of the year: 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 December drop to two, at 11am and 2pm, while Christmas Day, 25 December, keeps the three-performance weekend schedule. The running time is 75 minutes with no interval, and the age guidance is 36 months and over.
The discounts are unusually broad. The largest is the early-bird 60 per cent, which applies to bookings made between the on-sale date of 15 September and Sunday 27 September, for up to six tickets per person. Performances from 25 to 31 December carry a 40 per cent "Christmas and Year-End Week" discount. Beyond those there is 53 per cent for repeat visitors and for a friend, 53 per cent for following the Yong Theater on Instagram, 50 per cent for Yong Theater membership, 55 per cent on "Culture Day" every Wednesday, 40 per cent for expectant mothers and Artist Pass holders, and 50 per cent for visitors with disabilities and for people of national merit. The standing discounts do not apply during the Christmas and Year-End Week.
The character notes in the announcement put the older brother Jin and the younger brother Jun at the centre of the story. Jin admires King Sejong and defends Hangul through rap; Jun draws the strength to overcome fear from Yi Sun-sin's courage. Mina, who leads the Joseon magicians, guides the pair, and the Black Guild Master, who unbalances history, opposes them. The cast for the 2026 season was not included in this announcement.
