Kim Dong-ryul returns to the Sejong Center after seven years, with his first orchestra-free concert

Kim Dong-ryul returns to the Sejong Center's Grand Theater this October for a solo concert, '2026 Kim Dong-ryul Concert: Old Songs' (오래된 노래). A disability discount of 20% applies to both grades 1–3 (with one companion) and grades 4–6 (holder only). Discounted tickets can only be collected in person, and the booker's name, the attendee's name and the supporting document must all match.
When and where do tickets go on sale?
At 5pm on Friday 4 September, through two outlets only.
The Sejong Center states plainly that tickets are not sold through any channel other than its own website and NOL. Each outlet sells a different block of seats, so it is worth reading the booking-page notes published at 5pm on Thursday 3 September first. Bank transfers must clear by 23:59:59 the day after booking, or the booking is cancelled automatically.
Wheelchair users and blind or partially sighted patrons cannot book online: because the seating layout has to be explained individually, those bookings are taken by phone only, through Sejong Culture Ticket. The line opens at the same time, 5pm on 4 September, on 02-399-1000 (09:00–20:00).
How are tickets collected?
If you book through the Sejong Center website, collection is in person only.
Digital ticketing, the "send a ticket" transfer feature and the venue's self-service kiosks are all disabled for this run. The box office is open from two hours before the performance until 30 minutes after it starts, and you must bring physical or mobile photo ID together with your booking confirmation. Only the person who booked may collect; the one exception is a ticket passed to a family member, who must bring a family relation certificate plus both parties' ID.
The promoters say resale and touting will be monitored continuously from the moment sales open, with reports accepted at concert@musicfarm.co.kr.
Is there a minimum age?
Seven and over — anyone born in 2019 or earlier.
The two outlets word it differently. The Sejong Center says "7 and over (born 2019 or earlier)", while NOL Ticket says "elementary school age and above". Since children born in 2019 started elementary school in March 2026, the two phrasings describe the same cohort.
What is different about this concert?
It is the first of his career staged without an orchestra.
Kim has opted for an arrangement built around his voice and his long-standing backing band, 율밴 (Yulband). The idea is to let the band's playing come through where a full orchestral sound used to cover it, and to make room for songs that rarely fit a large-scale production.
In his own words: "I wanted, just once, to do a stripped-back show outside my usual concert style", and "this may well be the harder challenge for me, but I want to find the courage to try it before it gets too late."
Is the run registered with KOPIS?
Not as of 1 September 2026.
Querying KOPIS — Korea's official performing-arts data network — for Seoul listings between 17 and 25 October does not return this concert. Runs whose tickets have not yet gone on sale are often registered only after sales open, so it will most likely appear after 4 September. Until then, the Sejong Center's own ticket-open notice is the primary source for the dates, prices and age limit above.
