Called off a month before the show
Post Malone's solo concert in Korea — his first return in three years, and keenly awaited since tickets went on sale in April — has been postponed a little over a month before it was due to take place. Live Nation Korea, which was presenting and producing the show, said through its official channels on 27 August that “the Post Malone concert scheduled for 2 October has been postponed”.
The show was to have started at 8 pm on 2 October at the main stadium of Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province. Eleven tiers of ticket, from KRW 154,000 for standing to KRW 520,000 for the premium VIP package, were sold in the artist presale on 6 April and the general sale on 7 April.
Refunds go back to the original payment method
Live Nation Korea said it “sincerely apologises to everyone who was waiting for this concert and asks for their understanding”, adding that “tickets already purchased will be refunded in full through the original payment method”. No cancellation fee is charged.
The whole Asian tour moved with it
No specific reason for the postponement was given. The decision is understood to be tied to a wider rescheduling of Post Malone's Asia and Oceania tour: alongside Korea, the Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan dates are reported to have been postponed as well. Live Nation Korea asked ticket holders to “check the artist's official channels for updates on future performance dates”, and as of 31 August no replacement date had been announced.
Post Malone drew a crowd of roughly 30,000 at his first Korean concert in 2023. This show was planned as an extension of a recent stadium tour that drew more than a million people across North America, which is part of why the postponement has left fans both disappointed and watching closely for a new date.
