Haman Arts Center Main Hall: How Many Seats? The 510-Seat Chart, Booking and Parking

The main hall (대공연장) of Haman Arts Center (함안문화예술회관, a county-run arts centre in Haman, South Gyeongsang Province) has 510 seats: 504 regular seats plus 6 wheelchair spaces, all on a single raked floor running from row A to row S. Every figure here was checked in September 2026 against the venue's official website, its technical rider and the KOPIS performing-arts database.

How many seats does the Haman Arts Center main hall have?

The Haman Arts Center main hall has 510 seats: 504 regular seats and 6 wheelchair spaces. The venue's history page says 510, the main-hall page says "504 smart-seating seats and 6 accessible seats", and the technical rider (Nov 2019) lists "ground floor 504, no balcony, 6 disabled seats". The three sources agree.

Counting the official seating chart row by row, the three blocks add up to exactly 504.

The centre block is 10 seats in row A plus 18 rows of 11 (198). The side blocks taper at the front and back because the auditorium is octagonal, which leaves 148 seats each.

KOPIS also records the main hall at 510 seats including 6 accessible ones, an exact match with the venue's own figure.

The hall opened on 31 March 2005 and was refurbished in 2019: stage machinery, lighting, seats, lobby, acoustics and air handling. According to the venue, that added 20 motorised flying bars rated at one tonne and a Stageright acoustic shell. The technical rider gives a proscenium roughly 12.6 m wide and 7.9 m high.

How is the seating chart laid out, rows A to S?

The main hall splits at a cross aisle between rows L and M: 12 rows in front (A-L) and 7 behind (M-S). Each row has a left block (seats 1-10), a centre block (11-21) and a right block (22-31).

• The side blocks are short at the front. Row A has only 3 seats on the left (7-9), 10 in the centre and 3 on the right (23-25); the side blocks widen row by row up to row F (9 seats).
• Rows G to N are the full rows, with 10 seats in each side block. From row O they shorten again.
• The ends of the cross aisle are the side doors, Gate 3 (right) and Gate 4 (left). Gates 1 and 2 are at the back, and the chart marks the entrance by Gate 2.
• The wheelchair spaces are at both ends of row S, three each; the control booth (F.O.H) sits behind the centre of row S.

Which seats have the best view in the main hall?

The official seating-chart page warns that subwoofers stand at both sides of the stage, so depending on the production some of the set and cast at the sides may be hidden. On the chart the subwoofers sit at the front corners, directly in front of rows A and B of the side blocks.

The following is our reading of the chart and the venue's photos, not an official recommendation.

• For an even view of the whole stage, rows F to L of the centre block (seats 11-21) are a safe choice.
• For legroom, row M is directly behind the cross aisle, so there is no seat in front of it.
• The outer ends of the front side rows (around A7/A25, B6/B26, C5/C27) can be blocked by the subwoofers and side scenery. If you sit to the side, take seats 8-10 or 22-24 first.
• The floor rises towards the back, so rear rows are less blocked by the heads in front.

There is no balcony, so there is no front-balcony-versus-rear-stalls decision to make.

How do I book tickets at Haman Arts Center?

Haman Arts Center sells tickets online, by phone and in person. Per the venue's booking guide:

The bank account for phone bookings is NongHyup 301-0378-9301-91 (holder: 함안군문화시설사업소). Confirm it on the phone before you transfer.

The venue's own productions open to paid members first. For 〈잇츠! 홈쇼핑 주식회사〉 on Saturday 28 November 2026 at 2 pm and 5 pm (all seats ₩30,000, ages 8+), the notice sets out:

• 1 October (Thu), 10 am: paid-member presale, only through a link sent by text message, not through the website.
• 2 October (Fri), 9 am: general sale for everyone.

Some shows, such as 〈LEGEND OF BALLAD 변진섭〉 on 2 October 2026, split their allocation between online/phone sales and an in-person presale for Haman residents. For popular shows, read the notice before sales open.

Tickets can be collected in the lobby from one hour before the show, or printed at the kiosk with your booking number. Mobile tickets are generated from 30 minutes before curtain.

What are the cancellation fees?

Haman Arts Center refunds in full up to eight days before the show, and does not accept cancellations on the day. From seven days out, a fee applies.

Changing seats means cancelling and rebooking, so the same fee applies. Online bookings are cancelled from your booking history; phone bookings are changed by phone. To cancel only some of several tickets, call 055-580-3625 to 3627.

How much does the 문화사랑 membership save?

A paid 문화사랑 (culture-lover) membership at Haman Arts Center gives 20-30% off the venue's own productions. Anyone aged 13 or over (middle school and up) with an address in South Gyeongsang Province can join at any time (membership page).

Most of the venue's own productions in the second half of 2026 offer paid members 30% off, which brings a ₩30,000 seat for 〈잇츠! 홈쇼핑 주식회사〉 down to ₩21,000. The fee is refundable only within seven days of joining and only if no discounted ticket has been bought.

Is parking free at Haman Arts Center?

Parking at Haman Arts Center is free, with space for 250 cars according to the technical rider (Nov 2019). No other page on the venue's website gives a fee or a capacity, so treat the figure as dated 2019. KOPIS also lists the venue as having a car park with accessible parking.

Arrive early for sold-out productions, such as Yeol Eum Son's piano recital (19 September 2026), 김성녀's madang-nori show (29 August) and the ballet 〈피터팬〉 (25 July).

By car, turn off 함안대로 onto 왕궁길 beside 함주공원, turn right towards the public stadium (함안공설운동장), keep 함주공원 on your right and follow the signs to the next right turn; the car park is at the dead end. The address is 619-1 Haman-daero, Gaya-eup, Haman-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.

Which bus stop is closest to Haman Arts Center?

Haman Arts Center is about a 5-minute walk from the 함안중고교 (Haman Middle/High School) bus stop, per the technical rider. Several rural bus routes through Gaya-eup stop there, including route 113-1.

From another city, use Haman Intercity Bus Terminal. The venue's directions page gives buses from Masan every 20 minutes, taking about 30 minutes. The terminal's number is 055-583-7788.

What are the entry rules on the day?

Haman Arts Center asks audiences to arrive 30 minutes early and be seated 10 minutes before the start; latecomers are not admitted once the show begins (audience etiquette).

• Children aged 7 and under are not admitted, except to children's shows. Most recent productions are for ages 8 and up.
• Staff may ask for proof of date of birth to check the age limit.
• No food, and no photos or video during the show.
• The technical rider lists a cloakroom and box office on the ground floor. Ask at the lobby desk if you have large bags.

How many seats does the multipurpose hall have?

The Haman Arts Center multipurpose hall (다목적홀) has 154 seats on one floor, according to the venue. Both the multipurpose-hall page and the history page give 154.

KOPIS records the same hall at 140 seats, a gap of 14. Both sources give the same floor area (286.27 m²), so one of them has probably not updated its seat count. A ticket marked "소공연장" (small hall) almost always means this room.

The centre also has a banquet hall (380 m²), an exhibition room (207 m²), an outdoor stage measuring 18 m × 11 m and an outdoor fringe stage.
