BOK Art Center (비오케이아트센터) is a mixed-use cultural building at 12 Gukchaengyeonguwon 3-ro, Sejong, and its theatre is on the 6th floor. Three things are worth settling before you go: parking, which floor, and what the 220 seats actually look like.
Is parking at BOK Art Center free?
Yes. Both the underground car park and the surface lot in front of the building are free, and there are designated accessible bays. The venue’s KOPIS facility registration (FC002305) also records both a car park and accessible parking.
One honest caveat. The BOK Art Center website has no page giving parking rates or the number of spaces. That parking is free is confirmed by ticketing-agency notices and the KOPIS record, but no official source states the capacity. If you are coming as a group or in a large vehicle, call the theatre on 044-868-3960 first.
On weekend family shows the surface lot fills first. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before curtain and head straight down to the underground level.
Which floor is the theatre on?
The 6th. Take the lift straight up from the car park; the gallery is on the same floor. BOK Art Center houses several unrelated tenants, so working your way up from the ground floor wastes time.

The 4th-floor bookstore is the easiest place to wait. Floors 1 and 2 cover meals.
How many seats does BOK Art Center have?
- Two independent sources agree exactly: the venue’s own description calls it "a mid-size theatre of 220 seats in total", and the KOPIS registration for the multipurpose hall (FC002305-01) also records 220. Venues whose seat counts differ between sources are common; this one does not.
There is a single multipurpose hall rather than a main-and-studio pair. KOPIS registers the gallery as a second performance space with a seat count of zero, so if another source appears to show two halls, the second one is the gallery.
The house is divided into a centre block and two side blocks, and the floor plan marks a separate wheelchair space in front of the stage.
The floor is not flat. From the side you can see each row stepped one level above the one in front.
Which seats have the best view?
There is little reason to avoid the front here. The official section drawing puts the stage 600mm above the house floor, and the seating is stepped. With the stage 60cm up, even front rows see the whole stage without craning.

The side blocks are angled toward the walls, so you see the stage obliquely — but on a stage under 10m wide that costs less than it would in a large house.
What are the stage dimensions?
The official stage elevation is marked 9,755mm wide, with a 4,100mm proscenium and a stage 600mm above the house floor. A human figure drawn at 1,803mm gives the scale.
The venue attaches its own warning to these. The BOK Art Center stage-technical page states that "the images and specifications provided may have changed due to construction or other works". For anything where the dimensions matter — a hire, a set build — confirm with the theatre rather than trusting the drawing.
How do I get there from Osong Station or the Sejong bus terminal?
Every route ends at the Gukchaek Yeongudanji (국책연구단지) stop. The routes the official directions page lists, by origin:

From Jochiwon you need one change; from the Government Complex, B7 or B0 comes direct.
Can I see the gallery before the show?
Yes, and admission is free. BOK Gallery is on the 6th floor alongside the theatre, open 10:00~19:00, closed Mondays and on 1 January, Seollal and Chuseok. For an evening performance you can see the exhibition and walk straight into the auditorium.
