Nodeul Island Live House seat views and bag storage: 456 seats or 708 standing, 500-won coin lockers (checked November 2026)
Nodeul Island Live House holds 456 for seated shows (328 ground, 116 balcony, 12 wheelchair) and 708 for standing shows. The ground floor is flat, so the front rows and centre block (seats 5–22) see best; the four-row balcony sees the whole stage behind a glass rail. There is no cloakroom: use the coin lockers outside the hall on level 1 (10:00–22:00, 500-won coins).

The Live House (라이브하우스) is a dedicated music venue on levels 1–2 of Nodeul Island (노들섬), the island halfway across Hangang Bridge at 445 Yangnyeong-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It opened with the island's arts complex in September 2019. For this guide we counted the official seat-chart spreadsheet cell by cell and checked it against the Live House page, the technical rider, the island's Q&A, parking and directions pages, and the hall's registration on KOPIS, Korea's national performing-arts database. All figures were checked in November 2026.
How many people does Nodeul Island Live House hold, seated and standing?
Nodeul Island Live House holds 456 for a seated show and 708 for a standing show. The official page lists "456 reserved seats / 708 standing" and explains that the ground floor has no fixed seating: the hirer sets out chairs for each show. That is why there are two numbers.
| Seated show | Standing show | |
|---|---|---|
| Ground floor | 328 movable chairs + 4 wheelchair spaces | 584 standing |
| Balcony | 116 fixed seats + 8 wheelchair spaces | 116 fixed seats + 8 wheelchair spaces |
| Total | 456 | 708 |
Counting the official seat-chart spreadsheet, the ground floor has 47 + 234 + 47 = 328 seats and the balcony 36 + 48 + 32 = 116. Adding 12 wheelchair spaces (4 downstairs, 8 upstairs) gives 456, exactly the chart's own total.

KOPIS also lists the Live House at 456 seats. Its count of 8 accessible seats, though, matches only the balcony's wheelchair spaces, not the chart's 12.
If you have seen "874 standing" elsewhere, that figure comes from press coverage at the 2019 opening; the official page now says 708. The chart also marks 4 seats downstairs and 4 upstairs as held back for emergencies, so slightly fewer than 456 may go on sale.
Which ground-floor seats at Nodeul Island Live House have the best view?
The ground floor of Nodeul Island Live House is flat, so the front rows and the centre block see best. The stage is 1 m above the floor, which helps near the front, but further back the heads in front start to block it. The centre block is seats 5–22 (18 per row), the side blocks are 1–4 and 23–26, and rows run from A to M, 13 in all.

- Front corners sit by the speakers: seats are missing at the ends of rows A and B for the speaker stacks. The remaining A4, A23, B3–4 and B23–24 see the stage at an angle.
- Stage width: 15.5 m on the official chart.
- Chairs: 52 cm wide with a 42 cm seat height; each place is 55 cm wide.
- Go by the ticket site's numbers: the chart says the chairs are movable and may be renumbered for each show, so trust the booking site's seat map over the numbers here.

What is at the back of the Nodeul Island Live House floor?
The centre of the back wall is taken by the front-of-house (FOH) sound and lighting desk, 9.84 m wide and 2.75 m deep. At seated shows it sits right behind row M; at standing shows it takes the back centre of the floor. The chart notes that when row M is in use, the gap between it and the desk is too narrow to use as an aisle, so centre seats in row M are awkward to get in and out of.

The doors are behind the desk on either side, and the 4 ground-floor wheelchair spaces are at the back corners.
Is the balcony at Nodeul Island Live House a good view?
The balcony at Nodeul Island Live House has 116 fixed seats in four rows (A–D) above the back of the floor. It looks down over the whole stage and the lighting, but the official chart itself warns that the glass front rail can block the view from some seats. The distance to the stage is about the same as the back of the floor, or a little more.

- Blocks: left 1–9 (36 seats), centre 10–21 (48), right 22–29 (32), with stairs between them.
- Seats that may not be sold: B10–13 are held back for emergencies, and shows that bring a follow spot into the balcony need the back row as a walkway.
- Wheelchair spaces: 4 at each back corner, 8 in all.

At standing shows the balcony stays seated, which makes it a good option if you would rather not stand or worry about being stuck behind taller people.
Where should I stand at a Nodeul Island Live House standing show?
At standing shows the whole ground floor becomes a standing area for 584, and the 1 m stage height means the front and middle see well. Because the floor is flat, the back depends heavily on who is in front of you, and the back centre is blocked by the mixing desk. With a late entry number, aim for the area in front of or beside the desk.

- Barrier at the front: the official chart requires a crowd barrier plus security and first-aid staff for every standing show.
- Chart numbers are not entry numbers: the 1–584 on the official standing chart just divide up the capacity; you go in by the entry number on your ticket.
Is there a cloakroom or bag storage at Nodeul Island Live House?
There is no cloakroom inside Nodeul Island Live House. According to the island's official Q&A, coin lockers stand outside the Live House on level 1 and work from 10:00 to 22:00 with 500-won coins. There is no change machine, so bring coins.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Location | Level 1, outside the Live House |
| Hours | 10:00–22:00 (the island takes no responsibility for losses outside these hours) |
| Cost | 500-won coins (no change machine) |
| Lost key | 30,000 won |
| Number and size | Not published |

On the day:
- Pack light for late shows: the lockers close at 22:00, but the Live House can be hired for shows until 23:00.
- Don't count on a free locker: the number is not published, so arrive early for a sold-out show.
- Layer up in winter: from November to February a heavy coat becomes luggage; for a standing show a small cross-body bag is easiest.
- Lost property: the Nodeul Island operations team handles it (02-749-4500); for the Hangang park below the island, call the Hangang call centre (1577-0082).
Are Nodeul Island's opening hours different in winter?
Yes. The official Q&A gives winter hours (November to February) of 10:00–20:00, Tuesday to Sunday, with the island's spaces closed on Mondays. Outside those hours access to the spaces is restricted and visitors are pointed to the level-2 toilets. Live House shows run on their own hire schedule, so for an evening show, check whether the island's cafés and shops will still be open before you plan to arrive early.
How do I get to Nodeul Island Live House by subway, bus or car?
By subway, take Line 9 to Nodeul Station, exit 2, and walk towards Hangang Bridge. The official directions page says 700 m and the visitor-guide page says 600 m. By bus, the "Nodeul Island" (노들섬) stop, 03-340, is right outside.
- Lines 1 and 4: from Yongsan exit 1 or Sinyongsan exit 3, walk to the Sinyongsan stop (03-004) and take a bus towards Nodeul Island.
- Buses: trunk routes 150, 151, 152, 500, 501, 504, 506, 507, 605, 750A, 750B, 751 and 752, and branch route 6211, stop at Nodeul Island.
- Construction: the island is being rebuilt as the "Nodeul Global Art Island". The official project page schedules the waterside and base works from November 2025 to December 2027, with the aerial and ground-level works starting in December 2026. Walking routes may change, so check the island's notices before a show.
Parking on the island is small and the official guide recommends public transport. When it is full, visitors are asked to use nearby public car parks rather than block the bus stop.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| West car park | 69 cars + 1 coach (plus 6 accessible spaces) |
| East car park | 21 cars (plus 2 accessible spaces) |
| Rate | 1,000 won for the first 30 minutes, 300 won per 10 minutes after, 15,000 won daily maximum |

| Parking enquiries | 02-2105-2415 |
KOPIS records Nodeul Island as having no parking and gives 02-6365-1008 as its phone number. The official website lists two car parks and a main number of 02-749-4500, so go by the website.
For a standing show, allow time for the lockers and the entry queue: arriving 30–40 minutes before doors is a good rule.
In short
- 456 seated (328 ground, 116 balcony, 12 wheelchair) or 708 standing; "874" is the 2019 opening figure.
- The flat floor favours the front rows and centre block (seats 5–22), with the mixing desk behind row M. The balcony sees the whole stage, but check for the glass rail.
- Leave bags in the level-1 coin lockers outside the hall (10:00–22:00, 500-won coins) and bring coins with you.
Checked in November 2026 against Nodeul Island's official Live House page, seat chart and technical rider, Q&A, parking, directions, visitor guide and Nodeul Global Art Island project page, and the venue's KOPIS registration. Arrangements change, so call Nodeul Island on 02-749-4500 before you go.
