Jamsil Sports Complex parking compared: the 876-space on-site lot, Jamsil Station, Hangang Park and Asia Park (as of September 2026)

The space counts and rates below were checked on September 16, 2026 against the Seoul Sports Facilities Management Office's parking guide, Seoul Facilities Corporation's Jamsil Station lot notice, the Seoul Hangang Project Headquarters' Jamsil Hangang Park parking page and Songpa-gu Facilities Management Corporation's lot list, and compared with the KOPIS registration on our Jamsil Sports Complex venue page. Jamsil Sports Complex (잠실종합운동장) is the Olympic-era complex in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Jamsil Arena (잠실실내체육관), the indoor gymnasium, is slated to close on September 20, 2026, so this guide is written for its final concerts, for Jamsil Baseball Stadium, and for Olympic Stadium, which becomes the temporary pro-baseball home from 2027.

Where are Jamsil Sports Complex concerts held now, and how long is the indoor arena open?

Olympic Stadium is closed to rentals from November 2023 to December 2026 for remodelling, so concerts at the complex are currently in Jamsil Arena, and the arena has been reported to close on September 20, 2026 before demolition. The management office's rental guide lists Olympic Stadium, the auxiliary field, futsal field 1 and the inline-hockey rink as unavailable, and notes the period may shift with the construction schedule.

The management office puts the arena's capacity at 13,000 while KOPIS registers 11,032 seats; concerts lose seats to the stage build, so the ticket seller's seating chart is the real number. The closing date and last-rental schedule come from press reports and user compilations since August 2026, so confirm with the management office (02-2240-8802) before you travel.

How many spaces does the on-site lot have, and what does it cost?

The complex's own lot has 876 spaces, about 680 fewer than before the Olympic Stadium remodel, runs 24 hours year-round, and normally charges 200 won per 5 minutes for cars and 400 won for large vehicles, billed after the fact by plate recognition. Leaving within 15 minutes is free, and one parking session ends at midnight on the day you enter, after which a new charge starts.

The website and the sign at the entrance disagree on when prepayment applies. The website says from 2.5 hours before the game until 30 minutes after it starts; the sign says from 3 hours before the event until 1 hour after it starts. Either way, entering in that window means paying 6,000 won up front, with pay-on-exit rates added after midnight.

Discounts apply only to pay-on-exit rates: 80% for disabled drivers and national-merit holders (including Agent Orange sufferers, injured rescuers and independence patriots), 50% for May 18 democracy-movement honourees and veterans' compensation holders, 20% for war veterans and military-service families, 50% for compact and low-emission cars, and 50% for Seoul's multi-child card. Discounts from other regions are not honoured. Enquiries go to the parking office at 02-2240-8876 (weekdays 09:00–18:00), and the official line is that entry may be refused when the lot is full.

How do I use the Jamsil Station underground public lot?

Jamsil Station public lot is a 357-space underground lot run directly by Seoul Facilities Corporation at 27 Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, open 05:00 to 01:00 the next day year-round, charging 440 won per 5 minutes with a daily cap of 31,600 won. The entry height limit is 2.1 m, so tall vehicles cannot use it.

Seoul Facilities Corporation's rate table still carries a grade-1 row of 400 won per 5 minutes and a 28,800 won cap, but both the Jamsil Station lot notice and the upper table say 440 won and 31,600 won, so this guide uses 440. Disabled drivers get 80% off. From here Jamsil Arena is one stop on Line 2 (Jamsil to Sports Complex), so parking and riding the subway is faster than walking.

How many spaces does Jamsil Hangang Park have, and what does it cost?

Jamsil Hangang Park has four lots totalling 387 spaces, open 06:00–24:00, at 1,000 won for the first 30 minutes then 200 won per 10 minutes, with a daily cap of 10,000 won. Lot 4 is closed from March 2025 to May 2030 for the International Exchange Complex road works.

Discounts are 80% for disabled drivers, 80% for national-merit holders, 50% for compact and low-emission cars, 50% for the multi-child card and 30% on time beyond three hours, with no stacking. The lots flood in typhoons and heavy rain, so the official advice is to avoid overnight parking in bad weather. The operator is KM Park at 02-3431-3774 (November 2025 to October 2027); overcharging complaints go to the Hangang Project Headquarters at 02-3780-0861.

What does Asia Park public lot cost, and are there other public lots nearby?

Asia Park public lot at 44 Olympic-ro (84 Jamsil-dong), Songpa-gu, has 112 spaces, is a grade-2 lot, runs unattended 24 hours, and charges 250 won per 5 minutes. Season passes are 180,000 won daytime, 60,000 won nighttime and 240,000 won all-day; enquiries go to Songpa-gu Facilities Management Corporation's public-parking division at 02-415-7734.

Per the on-site sign, discounts are 80% for disabled drivers, 80% for national-merit holders, 50% for compact cars, 50% for low-emission vehicles and 50% for two- or three-child families. Songpa-gu's lot list also shows Seoho 1 (14 spaces), Seoho 2 (15) and Seoul Nori Madang (38) nearby, but those run mainly on season passes, so Asia Park is the realistic hourly option on a concert or game day.

How do the four Jamsil Sports Complex lots compare at a glance?

The on-site lot is closest to the arena but costs 6,000 won prepaid on event days and fills first; Jamsil Hangang Park is cheapest with its 10,000 won daily cap; Jamsil Station and Asia Park are smaller but less known.

How do I reach Jamsil Arena by subway?

From Exits 6 and 7 of Sports Complex Station on Line 2 it is about 600 m to Olympic Stadium and about 700 m to Jamsil Arena; from Exit 9 of the Line 9 station it is about 600 m to the arena. With the lot shrunk, the management office officially asks visitors to use public transport, and on days when baseball and a concert overlap, entry to the on-site lot may not be possible at all.

The "right outside Exits 7 and 8" line repeated on blogs does not match the official directions (Exits 6 and 7, about 700 m), so first-time visitors should follow the management office's directions page.
