JTN Art Hall seating by hall and floor, and how to get the Daehangno parking discounts

JTN 아트홀 (JTN Art Hall) is a multiplex theatre at 26 Ihwajang-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, in the Daehangno theatre district. The building runs from two basement levels to the 10th floor and holds four halls. KOPIS registers it under its former name as "JTN 아트홀(구. 대학로예술마당)"; it opened in 2016, is run by JTN Media, and the main line is +82-2-779-1595. This guide was checked in September 2026 against the floor guide, seating plans, directions and parking notes on the official website and against the KOPIS registry values on our JTN Art Hall venue page.

Which floor is each hall on?

Hall 1 is on basement level 1 (B1), Hall 2 on the 2nd floor, Hall 3 on the 4th floor and Hall 4 on the 6th. The hall numbers and floor numbers do not climb together, so it is easy to take a Hall 3 ticket to the 3rd floor. Tickets are handed out at the ground-floor ticket box, one window per show, so collect your ticket first and then go up.

Each hall has its own audience lounge, so nobody waits in a corridor before doors open. Basement 1 also holds a 12 by 11 metre rehearsal room, and basement 2 a gallery plus meeting and rehearsal space.

How many seats does each hall have, and does KOPIS agree?

The official website gives Hall 1 230 seats, Hall 2 210, Hall 3 208 and Hall 4 208. The KOPIS registry we hold matches Halls 2, 3 and 4 exactly but lists Hall 1 at 228, two fewer than the official figure. Counting the official Hall 1 seating plan settles it: rows 4 to 13 have 18 seats, and rows 1 to 3 have 16 because the right block stops at seat 16, which sums to 228, the KOPIS number. The building total is 856 by the official figures and 854 by KOPIS.

Halls 2 and 3 also count out exactly: 12 rows of 18 minus the seats given over to the console in the back row.

How is Hall 1 laid out?

Hall 1 is the deepest of the four at 13 rows, divided by an aisle into a left block numbered 1 to 10 and a right block numbered 11 to 18. In rows 1 to 3, though, the right block only runs to seat 16, so the front right corner is clipped. If you are picking a front seat on the right, check the number range.

The doors (IN/OUT) are at the front and back on the right, and the sound and lighting console sits at the back left. If you may arrive late, a right-hand back row is the shortest walk. The Hall 1 plan also states plainly that wheelchairs cannot be brought in because of the stairs on both sides of the entrance.

How do Halls 2 and 3 differ?

Both have 12 rows, a left block 1 to 10 and a right block 11 to 18, and unlike Hall 1 the right block is complete from row 1 to row 12. The only difference is the left end of the back row: Hall 2 keeps four seats there (7 to 10), Hall 3 keeps two (9 and 10), and the rest of that row is the console.

Hall 3 is on the 4th floor and Hall 4 on the 6th, so the lift is all but essential. On days when both start at similar times the lift is crowded just before curtain, so allow extra time.

Which seats should I pick?

All four halls are single-level with two blocks of 10 and 8 seats, so the row matters far more than the block, and in a 200-seat room the back row is not far from the stage.

• The most central seats are the aisle-side numbers: 8 to 10 in the left block and 11 to 13 in the right.
• In Hall 1 the front right only runs to seat 16, so check the range when booking a front seat.
• Row 12 in Halls 2 and 3 has few seats and sits off to the left.
• The doors are on the right, so if you may need to slip out, a right-hand back row is easiest.
• Wait in the lounge on your hall's floor before doors open.

Where do I park, and how do I get the discount?

The theatre has no audience parking, and the official website points to two nearby paid car parks with discounts. The two discounts are claimed in different places.

At the Hongik car park you show your ticket in the car park's own B3 control room, not at the theatre. At the Open University car park it is the reverse: the voucher comes from the JTN box office, and only before the performance starts, so ask for it when you collect your ticket. The underlying rates are set by each car park and change, so call ahead if the amount matters.

How do I get there by subway?

Take Hyehwa Station (Line 4) exit 2 and walk about 10 minutes towards Ihwa crossroads. Head straight from Marronnier Park towards the crossroads, turn left into the lane by Seoul National University Elementary School, and the theatre faces the Ihwa-dong community centre. There is a slight hill, so it can feel longer.

Ihwa Mural Village and Naksan Park are close by, so the area is worth a walk before or after the show.

Can I attend in a wheelchair?

Hall 1 cannot take wheelchairs; the official plan says so explicitly because of the stairs on both sides of the entrance. There is no published guidance for Halls 2, 3 and 4. The KOPIS registry records only an accessible toilet, with accessible parking, a ramp and an accessible lift all recorded as absent. If you are coming with someone who finds stairs difficult, call the box office on +82-2-779-1595 before booking.
