How many seats does KBS Arena have, and how are they split by block?

KBS Arena has 2,222 fixed seats. The venue's official seating chart divides those 2,222 seats into nine blocks, A through I, and prints a seat count for each — and the nine block counts add up to exactly 2,222. The central J block is the arena floor and sits outside that total.

Blocks that face each other carry near-identical counts — B at 239 against I at 237, C at 245 against H at 248, D and F identical at 186 each — which is what tells you the plan is symmetrical.

One more cross-check. The KOPIS performing-arts facility register we hold also records KBS Arena at 2,222 seats. The official total, the sum of the block counts on the seating chart, and the KOPIS registration all land on the same number, which is rarer than it sounds.

How many people fit when the floor is standing?

KBS Arena's own introduction describes the hall as "a 3,000-seat scale venue with an acoustic design giving a 1.8-second reverberation time". In other words, 2,222 fixed seats plus a standing floor (block J) comes to roughly 3,000 — and that figure comes from the operator's own copy rather than from reviews or forum posts.

The 1.8-second reverberation time is worth noting too. That is on the long side for a concert hall, so band and large-ensemble sound carries a generous bloom here.

Which blocks have the best view?

Read the seating chart straight and the blocks fall into three characters. The inner tiers wrapping the floor are A (317 seats) and G (324 seats) — the two largest blocks, and the closest to the stage. Block E (240 seats) looks straight down the centre line at the stage. The curved D and F blocks (186 seats each) are vineyard-style, so the stage and the rest of the audience share your field of view.

Block letters and layout do change from show to show, though. The table above reflects the full-seating plan KBS Arena publishes for venue hire; for a concert, the stage position and any restricted-view designations are set by the promoter, so the ticket seller's seat map is what governs. Check that map once more before you book.

What does parking cost?

Parking at KBS Arena is 1,000 won per 10 minutes for a standard car. That works out to 6,000 won an hour, which adds up over a concert, and the venue's own guidance asks visitors to come by public transport because the car park is small.

The free-parking allowance applies to KBS Sports World's course members, not to concert-goers. No separate concession for ticket-holders appears in the official guidance. The rate above is taken verbatim from the "Directions and parking" page on the KBS Arena website, checked in September 2026.

Are there lockers?

There are no visitor lockers inside KBS Arena. The amenities page on the official website lists exactly three things — the Mook Monk gallery café and two restaurants (Mango Food and Hansik 88) — and nothing resembling a locker or left-luggage desk.

If you are arriving with a suitcase or bulky bags, settle on one of these before the day:

• Use the station lockers at Balsan (Line 5) or Gayang (Line 9). Both stations are under a 15-minute walk from the venue.
• Check the ticket seller's notices: promoters sometimes run a temporary bag drop on the day.

How do I get there by subway or bus?

The closest stop is the bus stop named KBS Sports World, a three-minute walk away. By subway it is a 14-minute walk from exit 5 at Balsan station on Line 5, or a 15-minute walk from exit 8 at Gayang station on Line 9 — both inside a quarter of an hour on foot.

Routes calling at the KBS Sports World stop are local 60, 60-3, 69 and 88; trunk 601, 605, 654, 661 and N26; express 8000; and airport buses 6000, 6003 and 6008. That last group matters if you are coming in from another city via Gimpo or Incheon airport.

How does the neighbouring Gym 2 differ?

KBS Arena (formerly Gym 1) and Gym 2 sit in the same KBS Sports World complex but are not the same size. Gym 2 seats 1,365 — 857 fewer than the arena — and yet its floor is the larger of the two.

Fewer seats over a bigger floor is the signature of a hall built for events that use the floor rather than the stands. Check at the booking stage whether your ticket says KBS Arena or Gym 2.

For the record, the KOPIS facility register lists this complex as a single entry — KBS Sports World (Arena) — and registers only the 2,222-seat KBS Arena as a performance hall. Gym 2's 1,365 seats are not in that registration, so the building's combined fixed seating is the sum of the two: 3,587.
