Myunghwa Live Hall capacity and lockers: 962 seats or 1,500, and how many lockers
Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, switches between standing and seated layouts show by show, so it has no fixed capacity: its website says "about 1,500", KOPIS says 962. The official floor guide lists 368 lockers and a coin changer in the basement; a visitor puts them at 1,000 won (medium) and 2,000 won (large), cash only. There is no parking; walk from Yeongdeungpo Market (13 min) or Singil (15 min) stations (September 2026).

명화라이브홀 (Myunghwa Live Hall) is a live-music venue at 30 Beodeunaru-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, mostly used for concerts, showcases and fan meetings. The two things people look up after buying a ticket are the capacity and the lockers, and the capacity varies by source while the official word on lockers is brief. We checked the venue's own website (the venue introduction and rental pages) on 30 September 2026 and added public.ai.kr's own KOPIS ticket-sales data and Seoul Metro locker data.

How many seats does Myunghwa Live Hall have?
There is no fixed number. Myunghwa Live Hall has what it calls "flexible seating", set up as standing, seated or both depending on the show, so its website says only "a 1,500-seat-class venue". KOPIS, Korea's national performing-arts database, lists 962 seats, and some blogs give "about 2,000".
| Source | Capacity | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Myunghwa Live Hall website | About 1,500 | Standing or seated, per show |
| KOPIS venue record | 962 | Also used as seats per performance |
| Some blogs | About 2,000 | No source given |
Ticket sales show a standing show filling to around 1,500. In public.ai.kr's KOPIS sales data, as of 29 September 2026, the "자라 라슨 첫 단독 내한공연" (Zara Larsson's first solo concert in Korea) had sold 1,545 tickets for 4 October and 1,559 for 5 October. Each date is a single performance, and both are about 600 above the 962 seats per performance that KOPIS records. The figures net bookings against cancellations at the time of counting, so they shift slightly until the show.

The venue says the hall covers about 1,400 m² and, including the stage, spreads over three levels of floor and balcony seating. In building terms, the second floor is the hall's floor level, the third floor its first balcony and the fourth floor its second. Check the booking site's chart for the layout of any particular show.

| Building floor | Use (official floor guide) |
|---|---|
| B1 | Facilities: 368 lockers, coin changer, toilets |
| 1F | Lobby: main entrance, ticket booth, merchandise booth |
| 2F | Hall, floor level |
| 3F | Hall, first balcony |
| 4F | Hall, second balcony |
Where are the lockers at Myunghwa Live Hall, and how many are there?
According to the official floor guide there are 368 lockers on the basement level (B1), with a coin changer on the same floor. A visitor's account says medium lockers are in the basement and large ones on the ground floor, but ground-floor lockers are not in the official floor guide and no count is published for them. The "398 in total" in our original Naver post cannot be confirmed from official sources; the confirmed figure is 368 in the basement.

| Item | Official website | Visitor account (Sept 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Where | B1 | Medium on B1, large on 1F |
| How many | 368 on B1 | Not given |
| Price | Not given | Medium 1,000 won, large 2,000 won |

Can I pay for the lockers by card?
Not according to the visitor account: medium lockers cost 1,000 won and large 2,000 won, cash only, and the official guide confirms a coin changer in the basement. The prices are not officially confirmed, so bring some notes or coins. At a sold-out standing show the locker area gets crowded, so store your bag well before doors open.
Can I use subway lockers nearby if the venue's are full?
Yes, but there are few of them. Seoul Metro's data shows 9 lockers each (6 small, 2 medium, 1 large) at Yeongdeungpo Market station and Singil station on Line 5, paid by card or mobile wallet. The four-hour base rate is 2,200 / 3,300 / 4,400 won (small / medium / large) on weekdays and 3,100 / 4,600 / 6,100 won at weekends, plus a charge for each extra hour.
| Station | Where | Lockers |
|---|---|---|
| Yeongdeungpo Market (Line 5) | B2, beside the convenience store (exits 1–4) | 9 (6 S, 2 M, 1 L) |
| Singil (Line 5) | B3, by the gates (exit 3) | 9 (6 S, 2 M, 1 L) |
| Size | Weekday, 4 h | Weekend, 4 h | Each extra hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 2,200 won | 3,100 won | 500 won |
| Medium | 3,300 won | 4,600 won | 800 won |
| Large | 4,400 won | 6,100 won | 1,000 won |
Each station has a single large locker, so a suitcase is realistically out. Leave big luggage at your accommodation.
Can I park at Myunghwa Live Hall?
No, the building's car park is not available to audiences. The venue recommends public transport and, if you do drive, parking at a nearby public or paid car park and walking over.
How do I get to Myunghwa Live Hall by subway?
