How many seats does Namdong Gymnasium have?
It depends which public body you ask. The City of Incheon’s municipal sports facilities guide says 8,828. The Incheon Sports Council’s Namdong Gymnasium facility page says 8,567. Both organisations manage this building, and they are 261 seats apart.

The third row narrows the gap a little. KOPIS — the dataset behind ticketing and performance statistics — holds 8,828, matching the City of Incheon. So 8,828 is the figure in circulation on the ticketing side, while 8,567 is the Sports Council’s facility-management number.
Either way, neither is the number of seats on sale. Of the 8,828, some 1,683 are retractable, and how many of those bleachers are extended changes both the total and the zone names from show to show.
The building figures diverge too. The City lists the scale as 31,819㎡ (9,642 pyeong) over basement level 2 to floor 3; the Sports Council lists a 171,330㎡ site, a 20,363.51㎡ footprint and an arena area of 42,357㎡, of which the gymnastics arena is 31,819㎡. The same 31,819㎡ is called the building scale by one and the gymnastics arena area by the other. Both agree on the completion date: 27 September 2013.
Where do I find the seating chart?
Only on the ticketing site. Namdong Gymnasium’s official pages carry no seating chart at all, because it is a sports hall rather than a theatre: stage position and seating zones are rebuilt for every event.
The Sports Council facility guide explains why, listing "retractable seating" and "fixed seating" side by side among the main arena’s features. Extend or fold those 1,683 retractable seats and the same seat number is a completely different place.
Work through it in this order before you book:
- The show-specific seating chart on the ticketing site (Interpark, Yes24 and the like)
- The promoter’s notice: stage direction, restricted-view seats, standing versus seated
- The gate assignment — the same zone can be reached by a different route
What does the layout look like?
Think of it as four blocks: stage, floor, lower fixed seating, upper fixed seating. In a hall like this the stage almost always goes against one end of the oval arena, with the flat wooden sports floor in front of it laid with temporary seating or used as standing room, and the fixed seating wrapping around the outside on two levels.
The main arena floor is 4,463.48㎡ of wooden sports flooring, with a 3,185.30㎡ secondary arena. Listed features include sound equipment and a scoreboard, retractable and fixed seating, Moving Track lighting and a catwalk.

The flat floor is structural, not a choice: the main arena surface is competition-grade wooden sports flooring and cannot be stepped. The fixed seating, designed for watching sport, is properly raked.
The tiers run lower seating, then a concourse, then upper seating, then box level. The upper tier climbs steeply enough that heads in front are not a worry, but you are closer to the roof trusses and lighting rig, so a tall set piece can have its top cropped.
A metal rail and a clear acrylic barrier run along the front of the seating. If you are in the front row of any block, that rail line can cut across the bottom of your view — for a show with a low stage, the second or third row may be more comfortable.
How much is parking?
As of 23 September 2026 there is no published rate. Neither the City of Incheon’s municipal sports facilities guide nor the Incheon Sports Council’s facility guide and directions page has a parking section at all. That is left as unverified rather than guessed at.
The last confirmed state is October 2024. Reporting from the site on 3 October 2024, Kyeonggi Shinmun quoted a gymnasium official saying that they could not ticket roadside parking because "the car park is currently free, so the conditions for issuing parking violations are not in place", and that "next year it converts to paid, which should ease the problem somewhat".
No rate card has been posted officially since. To avoid an unpleasant surprise on the day, call one of these first.

Where should I actually park?
In a marked bay further in, not on the verge near the entrance. The Kyeonggi Shinmun report described the access road between Namdong Gymnasium and the Namdong multipurpose indoor arena as two lanes of about 4m each, separated by flexible delineator posts — and verge parking had reduced drivers to crawling through, with complaints of cars scraping the posts. Pedestrians were also walking in the carriageway rather than on the pavement.
The same report found plenty of empty marked bays within a five-minute walk. Parking on the verge to save a few steps means a scraped car and a worse queue on the way out. With an 8,000-capacity show, the jam right after the finale is worse still.
Search your navigation for Namdong Gymnasium, or 500 Sorae-ro (lot 602 Susan-dong), Namdong-gu. The Namdong Asiad Rugby Field next door is at 540 Sorae-ro (lot 601 Susan-dong) — a different address, so do not confuse the two.
How do I get there by public transport?
There is no station at the door. From Seoul the direct express bus is the answer; within Incheon it is subway plus a local bus. These are the routes the Incheon Sports Council publishes.

Given the traffic after a show, the express bus is the calmer option from Seoul. Express buses run infrequently, though, so check the last departure before you go.
By car, approach from Seochang IC on the Second Gyeongin Expressway. From Incheon International Airport the route is the airport expressway, then the Second Gyeongin Expressway at the Hagik junction, then Sorae-ro.
What kind of shows play here?
Almost exclusively popular music. All ten events KOPIS records at Namdong Gymnasium are in the popular music genre, with nothing from any other category.
The list makes the character clearer still: Hwang Young-woong in November 2025; Baek Z Young, Yim Jae-beum, Cho Yong-pil and Kim Gun-mo in December 2025; MC the Max’s Isu in January 2026; the Hyunyeok Gawang 3 national tour in April 2026; SeeYa’s 20th anniversary tour in October 2026; and the Mumyeong Jeonseol national tour in December 2026. Solo touring artists and trot and adult-contemporary packages dominate.
That is worth knowing before you book. Shows like these usually run as reserved seating with chairs laid out on the floor too, which zones the room differently from an idol concert built around a standing pit. The final word is still this show’s own seating chart.

Two things right after booking: whether your zone is floor or fixed seating on the ticketing site’s chart, and whether the stage direction and the speaker and lighting tower positions are marked.
Three things before you leave: the parking arrangement on 032-465-1756, the express bus 1301/1302 frequency if you are coming from Seoul, and the doors time and gate number in the promoter’s notice.
Three things once you arrive: drive past the verge to a marked bay, work out which way the stage centre is from your seat before the lights go down, and check the last train or bus given how the traffic builds afterwards.
