세종대학교 대양홀 (Daeyang Hall) is a large auditorium just inside the left of Sejong University's main gate in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. It hosts concerts, plays and talks, and it sits practically on top of Children's Grand Park station on Line 7, which makes it one of the easiest university venues in Seoul to reach by subway. We checked the Sejong University Convention Center's own rental, parking, transport and FAQ pages on 30 September 2026 for the seat counts by floor, the capacity of each car park, and how parking is charged.

How many seats does Daeyang Hall have?
Daeyang Hall has 2,030 fixed seats according to the rental guide on the university's convention-center site: 928 on the first floor, 1,014 on the second and 88 on the third. The second floor, not the first, holds the most seats.
The rental-fee table on the same official page gives 2,038 seats, with 936 on the first floor, so the two official figures differ by eight seats, all on the first floor. KOPIS, Korea's national performing-arts database, lists 2,029. The front of the first floor is reconfigured for some stage layouts, so the booking site's seating chart is what counts for any given show.

| Stage | 23 m × 15 m |

What does the Daeyang Hall seating plan look like?
The first floor fans out from the stage, and a horseshoe-shaped second-floor balcony wraps round it, its side sections running forward almost to the stage. The second floor splits into a centre block and two long side blocks. The third floor is a small area of just 88 seats whose exact position is hard to make out from the official photos.

The official plan is too low-resolution to read block numbers. Check block and row names against the booking site's chart for each show.
Which first-floor seats have the best view?
To see performers' faces up close, the front and centre blocks of the first floor are best. The seating is raked, so heads in front are less of a problem than on a flat floor, and the distance to the stage is short.

The first-floor side blocks look at the stage at an angle. If a show's set or LED screens are off to one side, pick a centre block over a side block in the same row.

The back rows of the first floor sit under the second-floor balcony, whose lip can cut off lighting rigs and high screens. For a concert built on lighting, the front of the second-floor centre may beat the last rows downstairs.

What is the view like from the second floor?
For the whole stage picture, lighting and screens included, the front of the second-floor centre block is the safest choice. With 1,014 seats it is also the floor you are most likely to get tickets for when a show sells fast. It is a fair distance from the stage, though, so bring binoculars if faces matter.

The second-floor side blocks run a long way towards the stage. The closer you get, the shorter the distance but the steeper the angle, and from the very end you may not see the back of the stage. If upstage screens matter, stay towards the centre.

The second floor is steeply raked, so heads in front rarely block the view, but watch your footing on the stairs once the lights go down.

Which seats should I choose at Daeyang Hall?
This is a guide drawn from the layout in the official photos. Thrust stages and screen positions change from show to show, so read it alongside the booking chart.
| If you want | Choose | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| To be as close as possible | 1F front and centre | The hardest tickets to get |
| The whole production | 2F centre, front rows | Distance; bring binoculars |
| Whatever is left | 2F centre rear or sides | The far side ends lose the back of the stage |
| Lighting and screens | 2F centre over 1F back rows | The balcony lip cuts off the top downstairs |
Where do I park for Daeyang Hall, and how many spaces are there?
Daeyang Hall has no car park of its own for audiences. The nearest are the underground garages at Gwanggaeto-gwan (241 spaces) and the Daeyang AI Center (455). The campus has 12 car parks with 1,388 spaces in all, and the per-building counts below add up exactly to that official total.

| Car park | Spaces |
|---|---|
| Daeyang AI Center | 455 |
| Parking building | 294 |
| Gwanggaeto-gwan | 241 |
| Mubang-gwan | 198 |
| Jiphyeon-gwan (main office) | 56 |
| Aejiheon | 50 |
| Yongdeok-gwan | 37 |
| Yulgok-gwan, Chungmu-gwan, Dasan-gwan | 13 each |
| Gunja-gwan | 10 |
| Rear-gate car park | 8 |
| Total (12) | 1,388 |
The two garages are entered differently:
- Gwanggaeto-gwan (blue arrow): drive onto campus through the main or rear gate. Search Kakao Map for "세종대학교 광개토관" or Naver Map for "세종대학교 광개토관/주차장".
- Daeyang AI Center (red arrow): a separate entrance off campus. The university says to search Kakao Map for "세종대학교 대양센터 지하주차장" or Naver Map for "세종스포츠 정형외과의원 주차장입구".

On the day of a 2,000-seat show the two garages nearest the hall fill first. If you drive, arrive well ahead of the start.
How much is parking, and where do I pay?
The convention center's FAQ says people attending an event get a discounted rate of 4,500 won per car per day. If you pay yourself, use the automated pay stations in the Daeyang Hall lobby or the Gwanggaeto-gwan B1 lobby.
- Who gets the discount: the FAQ says "attendees of the event". Whether a concert audience counts depends on the organiser, so check the booking notice.
- Organiser-paid passes: some organisers hand out free parking passes, which they then settle at the parking control centre by the main gate (+82-2-3408-3543).
- Daeyang AI Center: it has no event pay station, so the FAQ says to request a separate prepaid pass if you are paying yourself.
- Coaches: there is nowhere to park a coach on campus. Coaches may drop passengers off and leave; the university directs them to the rear-gate car park of Children's Grand Park across the road.
How do I get to Daeyang Hall by subway or bus?
Daeyang Hall is next to exit 6 of Children's Grand Park station (어린이대공원역) on Line 7. The rental guide says it is "one minute on foot from the subway entrance"; the transport page gives three minutes from exit 6 to Gwanggaeto-gwan. Change to Line 7 at Konkuk University station (Line 2) or Gunja station (Line 5).
| Stop | Buses |
|---|---|
| Children's Grand Park | Trunk 721 |
| Children's Grand Park / Hwayang-ri | Trunk 240, 302; branch 2222, 3217, 3220; express 102 |
| Rear gate (Sejong Elementary) | Trunk 240; branch 2012, 2013 |
Traffic leaves all at once after a show, so with the station one to three minutes away the subway is the easy choice.
Does Daeyang Hall have lockers or places to eat?
As of 30 September 2026 the convention center's website lists no lockers for audiences. The storage mentioned in its FAQ is for organisers who ship event materials in advance. Travel light, and check the organiser's notice for any cloakroom.
The convention center does not provide food or drink either. Its FAQ points to the food court on the first floor and basement of the student union by the main gate, a buffet on the sixth floor of Gunja-gwan and a restaurant on the second floor of the Daeyang AI Center. Check weekend and vacation hours separately.
