Songdo Moonlight Festival Park: parking and lockers, verified August 2026

Parking at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park is free for the first two hours and metered after that. Of the car park's 152 bays only 106 take ordinary cars; the other 46 are reserved for caravans and camper vans. Given that KOPIS registers this park as a 30,000-capacity venue, driving on a festival day is not a plan worth making. There are no left-luggage lockers at the park or at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park station — the nearest are at Central Park and Incheon National University stations on Incheon Line 1. Every figure below was checked in August 2026 against Incheon Facilities Corporation's Songdo park pages, its public car park tariff, Incheon Transit Corporation's Line 1 facilities table, the city's own announcement and the tariff banner posted on site.

Is parking at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park free?

Only for the first two hours. Car Park 1 became paid on 1 July 2023, and the banner on site cites Article 15 (fees) of Incheon's Urban Parks and Green Space Ordinance as its authority. That it rests on an ordinance rather than a temporary notice is itself worth knowing: this is not a trial.

Two things are worth adding to that table.

First, the 400 / 200 / 4,000 KRW figures match Incheon Facilities Corporation's published grade-3 tariff exactly. That tariff's own rule is that a stay of five hours or more is charged the all-day rate, while the banner says seven. The two do not contradict each other: the two free hours at the start push back the moment the running total reaches 4,000 KRW.

Second, the same tariff puts a grade-3 monthly permit at 40,000 KRW. The 80,000 KRW monthly rate for camping vehicles is exactly double that. A caravan occupies more than one bay's worth of space, so the doubling is easy to believe — but no official document states the reason.

Are there really no spaces inside the park for an ordinary car?

There are 106. The common claim that "the whole 200-space car park became a caravan site" is not accurate. The city's own completion announcement puts Car Park 1 at 205 bays before the rebuild and 152 after, split into 106 for ordinary vehicles and 46 for caravans and camper vans.

So general parking roughly halved rather than disappearing. That does not change the practical answer much. KOPIS registers this park at 30,000 seats (see its venue page), and every performance registered there is a popular-music festival — the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival and the Isul Live Festival among them. Thirty thousand people sharing 106 bays is one space per 283 attendees. On festival days the entrance is sometimes closed to traffic altogether.

If you are coming for the football or futsal pitches rather than a concert, note that Incheon Facilities Corporation asks visitors to use the Moonlight Festival Park car park rather than the area behind the main stage, and to walk from there.

Where else can I park nearby?

Four places come up repeatedly. Only one of them — G-Tower — has a rate and a capacity that can be verified officially, and it is worth saying so plainly.

G-Tower is the dependable option. When the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority made it paid on 1 October 2024 it published the rate: free for the first hour, then 600 KRW for the first 30 minutes and 300 KRW per 10 minutes, capped at 6,900 KRW a day. It holds 730 bays in total — 16 outdoors, 356 on B1 and 358 on B2 — nearly five times the whole of Car Park 1. That is why the 15-minute walk is worth it.

Landmark City No. 1 Sports Park covers 183,498㎡ and is run by the same Songdo park office as the festival park. Its official page lists no bay count and no tariff, so this article cannot tell you whether parking there is free. The lot by exit 3 is an unsurfaced space that does not appear on official maps, and visitors report it is hard to enter in the rain.

One more piece of context: when parking went paid in 2023, local reporting recorded that a 5,000㎡, 300-bay temporary car park was laid out by the waterfront park for caravans, and that the park office then planned to lower its 3m entrance barrier to 2.3m to keep caravans out again. Temporary car parks change character quickly, so check the signage on the day.

How long does it take by public transport?

Despite the name, the park is more than an 11-minute walk from Songdo Moonlight Festival Park station. It is the terminus of Incheon Line 1 (I139, opened 12 December 2020) and has four exits; the station's own exit guidance names Songdo Landmark City Neighbourhood Park No. 2 for both exits 3 and 4. Allow a little more than the "10 minutes" usually quoted.

Being the terminus helps on the way home: every train starts here, so even in a post-show crowd you board an empty carriage. The bus is less reassuring — Sunhwan 42 runs at roughly 28-minute intervals on weekdays. Confirm the stop and the routing on Incheon's bus information system on the day.

Where are the lockers?

Not at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park station. Incheon Transit Corporation's Line 1 facilities table leaves this station's locker column blank. Line 1 has 18 locker banks across 17 stations, and the terminus is not one of them.

The two nearest are one or two stops back along the same line.

Treat the compartment counts and prices with care. On-site guidance gives both stations 16 small, 4 medium and 4 large compartments at 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 KRW per 12 hours. Incheon Transit Corporation's public facilities table, however, lists only the number of banks per station — not compartments or prices — so this article could not re-verify those figures against an official source. If you are counting on a locker, call Incheon Transit Corporation on 032-451-2182 first.

One routing tip: 1.5~2.2 km is an awkward distance to walk back. Drop your bags at Central Park or Incheon National University on the way in and ride the last stop or two, rather than doubling back from the park.

What about accessible parking and facilities?

The KOPIS venue record says there is a car park and there are accessible parking bays. It also records no accessible toilet, no ramp and no lift, and no restaurant, café, shop or nursing room.

For an open-air festival ground the sparseness is unsurprising, but it means that for a wheelchair user the toilets are whatever the event organiser brings in. On a big show day it is worth asking the promoter in advance. The park opened in 2014 and covers 170,543㎡.

The park's numbers are split by purpose.

For the record, the main number on the KOPIS venue record is 032-453-7912, which is none of the above. For parking and park access, the Songdo park office line — 032-456-2860 — is the reliable one.
