How many seats does Sowol Art Hall have, and how is the seating plan divided?
Sowol Art Hall is a 520-seat theatre inside the Seongdong Cultural Center at 281 Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and the KOPIS (Korea Performing Arts Box Office Information System) registration also gives 520. The foundation's own description of the auditorium, facing the stage, puts section Ga (가열) at the front left with 90 seats, Na (나열) at the front right with 80, Da (다열) at the rear left with 172 and Ra (라열) at the rear right with 172, plus 6 wheelchair spaces in front of Door 1, for 520 in all.

These section counts come from the official auditorium description, and the four sections plus the wheelchair spaces add up to the official total of 520 exactly. On the booking page the front section is rows 1 to 6 in three blocks (left, centre, right) and the rear section is rows 7 to 20 in two blocks either side of a central aisle.

There are five doors. Doors 1 and 5 are at the ends of the front section, 2 and 4 at the boundary between front and rear, and 3 on the central aisle of the rear section, so it helps to know your route in and out. The stage is 12m wide, 10m deep and 6m high (175 square metres), generous for a 520-seat hall, and an acoustic shell is installed for concerts.
Which seats at Sowol Art Hall have the best view?
For a straight-on view choose the centre of the front section (seats 8 to 22) or a rear seat close to the central aisle; for the closest feel choose rows 1 or 2 at the front, though the stage is fairly high so you may be looking slightly up. With a 12m-wide stage, the block you sit in changes the view noticeably.

The 90 spaces are 30 at ground level (including 4 family bays, 3 disabled bays and 1 goods-vehicle bay) plus 30 each in parking towers 1 and 2, with 2 EV chargers. The ground-level lot runs unattended 24 hours a day all year, but the towers have their own hours: 9:00 to 18:00 normally and 9:00 to 22:00 on evenings with a performance. The towers take vehicles under 1,850kg kerb weight only (roughly anything smaller than a Genesis G80), so a large SUV or a heavy import must use the ground-level spaces. Where is the cloakroom, and when is it open?
The cloakroom is on the 3rd floor of Sowol Art Hall and opens from one hour before the performance until it ends. To watch unencumbered, arrive an hour early and go to the 3rd floor first; you can collect straight after the show, so stay for the curtain call.
With children, the 1st-floor playroom runs 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, 9:30 to 17:00 at weekends and from 9:00 until the end of the show on performance evenings, and the nursing room, also on the 1st floor, is open until the building closes. Accessible toilets are on the 1st floor and in the 3rd-floor corridor, and there are 3 disabled parking bays.
