Which floor is The Seouliteum on?

The Seouliteum (더서울라이티움) is on the G floor of the Galleria Foret mall in Seongsu-dong, and the G floor is the second basement level. Its official address gives both labels: G floor (B2), Galleria Foret The Mall, 32-14 Seoulsup 2-gil, Seongdong-gu. Press "G" in the lift, or go down two floors if you came in at street level.

The mall's floor directory lays the building out like this.

On the G floor the ticket booth stands in the middle, surrounded by the halls, and the lifts and escalators are beside the Atrium. Exhibition Hall 5 (Seoul Forest Theater 1, 서울숲 씨어터 1관), where shows are staged, is a separate block across the Atrium. Exhibition Hall 2 (Seoul Forest Theater 2, 서울숲 씨어터 2관) is the largest block, opposite the ticket booth.

How many seats does The Seouliteum have?

KOPIS, Korea's national performing-arts database, registers The Seouliteum's performance space as "G층 전용관" (the G-floor hall) with 800 seats. The venue's own website describes "a 14-metre-high, 800-seat performance space", so the two sources agree exactly. Because the halls are exhibition rooms converted for each production, the actual seat count and layout vary from show to show. Check the seating plan when you book.

How many halls are there, and how big are they?

The Seouliteum has five spaces: Exhibition Halls 1, 2, 3 and 5, plus the Atrium (there is no Hall 4). These are the net floor areas on the "2026" rental rate card on the venue's website.

SpaceNet areaOfficial use
Hall 11,239 m²Permanent media-art exhibition
Hall 2 (Seoul Forest Theater 2)1,640 m²Permanent, curated and mixed exhibitions, cultural events
Hall 3833 m²Small-business and artists' shows, performances, pop-ups
Atrium234 m²Art exhibitions
Hall 5 (Seoul Forest Theater 1)745 m²Mixed exhibitions and cultural events

Together the five come to 4,691 m², about 1,419 pyeong. The floor plans for Halls 2 and 5 (1,640 m² and 745 m²) match this table.

The website carries a second, different set of figures. The older rate card further down the same rental page, and the facility table, give Hall 1 as 1,170 m², Hall 2 as 1,545 m², Hall 3 as 797 m², the Atrium as 332 m² and Hall 5 as 724 m². If floor area matters to you, as it does for a hire, confirm with the venue. The site's headline "13,027 pyeong in total" does not match the roughly 1,400 pyeong the five spaces add up to, either.

Is my show in Seoul Forest Theater 1 or 2?

Check the hall name on your booking first. "G층 전용관" is the KOPIS name; the venue's website and the ticketing sites use "Seoul Forest Theater 1" (Hall 5) and "Theater 2" (Hall 2) as well. As listed on the official website in October 2026:

ShowVenue (official listing)Run · times
Musical Alsatang (알사탕)Hall 5, Seoul Forest Theater 1Until 31 Dec 2026 · weekdays 11:00; weekends and holidays 11:00, 13:30, 15:30
Musical Surviving in the AI World (AI세계에서 살아남기)Hall 2, Seoul Forest Theater 228 Jul–31 Dec 2026 · Tue–Fri 11:00; weekends and holidays 11:00, 14:00, 16:00

Neither plays on Mondays. Both are booked through Interpark, and enquiries go to the producer, Harlequin Creations (02-336-2528). KOPIS gives both a running time of one hour.

The sources do not always agree. The official website runs Alsatang to 31 December, but KOPIS lists it only to 29 November, so check the booking site before planning a December visit. Conversely, KOPIS lists The Man Alive: Choice (더 맨 얼라이브: 초이스) at this venue until 31 December 2026, while the official website shows only a past run from October 2023 to January 2024.

Which subway exit is closest to The Seouliteum?

Exit 4 of Seoul Forest Station on the Suin–Bundang Line, 200 m or about two minutes on foot, according to the venue's directions page. From Line 2, Ttukseom Station Exit 8 is 600 m, about five minutes.

Once inside, take the lift or escalator down to B2 (G). Many of the shows are family musicals; with a pushchair, the lift is the easier route.

How much is parking at The Seouliteum?

₩2,000 per 10 minutes, according to the venue's official directions page, with the first 20 minutes free if you leave within that time. Parking is in the Galleria Foret The Mall car park on B3–B7, which holds 780 cars. The official FAQ says only to "check the pay station" for the daily maximum, so there is no published cap.

Without a discount, that works out as follows.

Time parkedStandard rate
Up to 20 minFree (turnaround)
1 hour₩12,000
1 hour 30 min₩18,000
2 hours₩24,000

Even a one-hour show takes an hour and a half to two hours once you count parking, getting in and getting out, so the subway is far cheaper if you can use it. If you drive:

  • Ask the producer about discount tickets. The venue says only that "visitors should ask the exhibition organiser for discounted parking"; it varies by production, so check the booking notice or ask at the ticket booth.
  • Pay before you leave. Pay stations are beside the lifts on each floor and in front of the car park exits (Building 101 on B2, B3, B4 and B5; Building 102 on B3 and B4).
  • Payment enquiries: SK Shieldus, 1544-7116.

Are there lockers at The Seouliteum?

No. The official FAQ says there are no lockers and asks visitors who need to leave belongings to contact the organiser of their exhibition or show. Travel light.

Can I take photos or bring drinks into The Seouliteum?

Photography is allowed, according to the official FAQ, but tripods and selfie sticks are not, as they disturb other visitors. Drinks and light snacks are fine in the building's corridors but should not be taken into the halls. Whether pets are allowed depends on the exhibition, so ask the organiser. Rules on filming during a performance are set by each production; follow the booking page.

In short

  1. The Seouliteum is on the G floor of Galleria Foret The Mall, which is B2, two minutes' walk from Seoul Forest Station Exit 4.
  2. Shows are in Hall 5 (Seoul Forest Theater 1) and Hall 2 (Seoul Forest Theater 2); KOPIS and the venue both describe an 800-seat space.
  3. Parking costs ₩2,000 per 10 minutes (₩24,000 for two hours), so ask about the producer's discount ticket first.
