Yongin Poeun Art Hall parking and seat views: should you drive on show day?

Yongin Poeun Art Hall has no car park of its own; it shares the 483-space Suji Arpia lot with a community centre and sports centre, so for weekend shows take the Bundang Line to Jukjeon, exit 1 (about 450 m). Parking is free for 30 minutes, 600 won to one hour, then 300 won per 10 minutes, capped at 8,000 won a day. For seats, mid-rows of B block downstairs and rows 1–2 of E block upstairs face the whole stage (October 2026).

용인포은아트홀 (Yongin Poeun Art Hall) is the Yongin Cultural Foundation's main theatre, at 499 Poeun-daero, Suji-gu, Yongin, next to Jukjeon station on the Bundang Line; it hosts musicals, classical concerts and pop shows. The two questions after booking are whether to drive and which seats see well. We checked the foundation's directions, seating, FAQ and notice pages and Yongin city's public car park list on 1 October 2026, and compared them with public.ai.kr's KOPIS venue data.

How many seats does Yongin Poeun Art Hall have?

The Yongin Cultural Foundation gives Yongin Poeun Art Hall 1,525 seats. Its seating-plan page lists 1,065 stalls seats, 74 orchestra-pit (OP) seats, 10 wheelchair spaces downstairs, 370 balcony seats and 6 wheelchair spaces upstairs, which add up to exactly 1,525.

KOPIS, Korea's national performing-arts database, registers the same hall at 1,259 seats with 14 accessible seats. That is 266 fewer than the official figure, and no combination of the official section counts produces 1,259, so we could not establish what either source counted. For accessible seating, the foundation's FAQ says 16, which matches its seating plan (10 + 6).

Where do you park for Yongin Poeun Art Hall, and should you drive?

You can park, but for weekend and public-holiday shows take the train. The foundation's FAQ says Yongin Poeun Art Hall shares the Suji Respia complex car park with the Jukjeon 2-dong community centre and a sports centre, that space is tight, and that on weekends parking takes a long time, so it "earnestly asks" visitors to use public transport.

Yongin city's public car park list gives the lot as the Suji Arpia annex car park, with 483 spaces. "Suji Respia" in the FAQ and "Suji Arpia annex car park" in the notices are the same lot, and Yongin Urban Corporation manages it.

How much does parking cost at Yongin Poeun Art Hall?

Parking at Yongin Poeun Art Hall is free for the first 30 minutes, 600 won up to one hour, then 300 won per 10 minutes, with a daily cap of 8,000 won. That is the rate card on the foundation's directions page.

Time parkedCharge
First 30 minutesFree
30 min to 1 hour600 won
Over 1 hour300 won per 10 min
Daily maximum8,000 won

On that card, two hours costs 2,400 won and three hours 4,200 won. National merit holders and disabled drivers (with a certificate from the veterans' ministry or a local authority) and compact cars of 1,000 cc or less get 50% off.

Weekends are not free. A foundation notice dated 5 August 2022 says free weekend parking had filled the lot with long-stay cars from nearby shops and transport, so from September 2022 it charges 09:00–18:00 every day of the year, weekends and holidays included. The notice does not say what applies after 18:00; for an evening show, ask Yongin Urban Corporation's transport team on +82-31-261-6581.

How do you get from Jukjeon station to Yongin Poeun Art Hall?

Leave Jukjeon (Dankook Univ.) station on the Bundang Line by exit 1 and walk about 450 m towards the Pungdeokcheon junction. The foundation's FAQ puts it as: out of exit 1, over the footbridge, past the Jukjeon 2-dong community centre, and 50 m further on.

Buses stop at five stops around the hall, including one named after it right outside. Airport buses 8165 (Gimpo Airport) and 8852 (Incheon Airport) also pass the door.

Which stalls seats have the best view?

Comparing the official seat-view photos, rows 8–17 of B block face the whole stage without looking up too steeply. The stalls have three blocks: B runs to row 24 and A and C to row 26, with a cross aisle between rows 13 and 14. In front sit three rows of OP seats over the orchestra pit.

All the photos below are the per-seat views on the foundation's seating plan.

  • OP row 1 is close enough to see faces, but the stage front sits at eye level and hides the depth of the stage floor.
  • B block row 3 fills your view with the stage but is too close to take in both wings at once.
  • B block row 11 takes in the full stage width with little sense of distance; it is the benchmark seat here.
  • Outer seats such as C block row 14 seat 12 see the stage at an angle, with the right wall and speakers close.
  • Around B block row 17 the lighting truss comes into frame, which suits concerts with big lighting designs.
  • B block row 24 is far but still straight on; back outer seats such as A block row 26 add an angle and the underside of the balcony overhead.

Are the balcony seats worth it?

Rows 1–2 of E block can beat the back of the stalls. The balcony has three blocks, D, E and F, of 11 rows, plus L1, L2, R1 and R2 boxes along the side walls; the front of E block looks straight down over the stage and stalls with nothing in the way. The seating plan shows 6 seats in each box.

  • E block row 1 sees the whole stage head-on with nothing in the way, rivalling the middle of the stalls for ensemble-heavy musicals.
  • In the official photo from E block row 3, a black safety rail crosses the bottom of the view. It does not block the stage, but you notice it when watching the front edge.
  • E block row 9 makes the stage look small; it is a seat for the overall picture rather than faces.
  • D and F blocks have stair rails in front and an angled view; rear outer seats such as F block row 11 add distance to the angle.
  • The L and R boxes look down on the stage from the side over a rail, so the far edge of the stage is at an angle.

Where do you collect tickets, and when is the box office open?

Collect booked tickets at the hall's ticket desk on the day, giving the booker's name and the last four digits of their phone number. The desk opens 1 hour 30 minutes or 1 hour before the show, depending on the production. If you booked a discounted ticket, bring proof for the person attending, or pay the difference at the desk.

Can you bring food or water into Yongin Poeun Art Hall?

No. The foundation's FAQ says no food or drink, including water, may be taken into any of its halls. The same FAQ bans photography, audio and video recording even for personal use, and says latecomers are not admitted once a show starts unless the production allows it at an usher's direction. To change seats you cancel and rebook.
