- The short version

해운대문화회관 (Haeundae Arts Center) is a cultural center run directly by Haeundae-gu district, at 97 Yangun-ro in Haeundae's Jwa-dong new town, Busan. Completed in September 2006, the building has one basement level and four floors above ground, holding Haeun Hall (458 seats), Goun Hall (130 seats), two galleries and three rehearsal rooms. Every figure below was checked in October 2026 against the venue's official facility, rental, seat-chart and notice pages and against KOPIS, Korea's national performing-arts database.

How many seats does Haeun Hall have, and how are they laid out?
Haeun Hall at 해운대문화회관 has 458 seats: 295 on the first floor (rows A to L, 12 rows) and 163 on the second floor (10 rows). Each floor is split into three blocks: 가 on the left, 나 in the center and 다 on the right. The 295 first-floor seats include five wheelchair spaces.
Counting the official seat charts seat by seat reproduces the official totals exactly.
| Floor | 가 and 다 blocks (each) | 나 block | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1F | Row A 4, B 5, C 6, D to L 7 each = 78 | Rows A to K 12 each, row L 2 = 134 | 290 + 5 wheelchair = 295 |
| 2F | First row 6, other four rows 9 each = 42 | Rows B to I 9 each, row J 7 = 79 | 163 |
KOPIS agrees too: Haeun Hall 458 seats with 5 accessible seats, Goun Hall 130. The venue's stated totals, our own count of the charts and the KOPIS record do not differ by a single seat.

Four things to know when reading the first-floor chart:
- The labels 가열, 나열 and 다열 on the chart name the left, center and right blocks, not rows. Rows run A to L.
- The center 나 block has 12 seats in every row from A to K. The back row L has only seats 1 and 12, with the five wheelchair spaces between them.
- The side 가 and 다 blocks are narrow at the front, starting at 4 seats in row A and reaching 7 from row D, with the seats angled toward center stage.
- In the 가 block higher numbers sit closer to the center; in the 다 block lower numbers do.

The second floor of Haeun Hall has side wings (가 and 다) that run along the walls toward the stage, while the center 나 block has no row A and runs from row B back to row J. So the front row of the center balcony is 나 row B. A rail crosses all three blocks between rows C and D.
Where are the best first-floor seats in Haeun Hall?
The center 나 block on Haeun Hall's first floor faces the stage head-on, and with only 12 rows even the back is close. For actors' expressions and sound, rows C to G of the 나 block are the benchmark.

The official section drawing shows a gently raked first floor and a much steeper second floor whose front overhangs the last few first-floor rows. The drawing labels 307 seats on the first floor, 188 on the second and 59 parking spaces; those are design-stage numbers that differ from today's official 295, 163 and 58. Use the official figures.

From the rear center of the first floor, the balcony's underside shows at the top of the frame, but the whole proscenium and the lighting above it still fit in view.

The front side seats (rows A to C of the 가 and 다 blocks) are the closest to the stage but see it at an angle, so action at the far edge can be lost. For plays and musicals that use the whole stage, pick numbers toward the center. In rows A and B the stage floor sits above eye level, so you look up slightly.
Where are the best second-floor seats in Haeun Hall?
The second floor of Haeun Hall looks down on the stage, which suits shows where the whole picture matters, such as dance formations or floor lighting. For a straight-on view, take the center 나 block; rows B to E balance that view against distance.

The side 가 and 다 wings reach toward the stage, so they are close by balcony standards, but they look down on the stage from the side. The height of the rail between rows C and D cannot be read from the drawing, so check row D before booking if a rail in your sightline would bother you. The seats on sale can differ by show, so compare with the booking site's own seat map.
Which Haeun Hall seat should I pick for my kind of show?
For Haeun Hall: faces and sound from the first-floor 나 block, the full picture from the front of the second-floor 나 block, and the inner numbers of the first-floor sides when the center has sold out. The table is our editors' summary of the official charts, section drawing and auditorium photos.
| If you want | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Actors' faces and sound | 1F 나 block, rows C to G | Straight on, less looking up than the front row |
| The whole picture | 2F 나 block, rows B to E | Looking down from the front |
| Center sold out | 1F 가 seats 5 to 7, 다 seats 1 to 3 (row D back) | Aisle side next to the center, shallower angle |
| Children or frequent exits | Aisle seats in any block | Easy to get in and out |
How much is parking at 해운대문화회관, and how do Haeun Hall ticket holders get 4 hours free?
The basement parking at 해운대문화회관 has charged since 1 May 2026: 500 won per 10 minutes, capped at 15,000 won a day. Haeun Hall audiences park free for 4 hours, but only after typing their own plate number into the tablet at the hall's information desk. Beyond 4 hours the standard rate applies.
The venue's paid-parking notice of 21 April 2026 lists a discount for each facility. The rows that apply to visitors:

Older blogs and tourist guides still say parking at 해운대문화회관 is free; that stopped being true in May 2026. The step people miss is the plate registration, so after parking head to the information-desk tablet before collecting tickets.
When the car park is full, the official directions page points to nearby paid car parks such as the Jwa 1-dong public car park opposite the traditional market. By car, come through Jangsan Tunnel into the new town, leave the first overpass, go straight through four sets of lights and turn behind the Jwa 1-dong post office into the car park.
How do I get to 해운대문화회관 by subway or bus?
해운대문화회관 is about a 3-minute walk from Exit 12 of Jangsan Station on Busan Metro Line 2, right next to the Jwa 1-dong post office. With only 58 parking spaces, the subway is the easiest way to time a busy show.
| Mode | Route | Stop |

Can I bring food or flowers into Haeun Hall?
According to the venue's audience notice of 10 August 2026, nothing but bottled water may be taken into the auditorium, and bouquets and flower stands are not allowed inside. Restricted items can be left at the cloakroom by the hall entrance and in the lobby.
- Once a performance starts, entry may be restricted; latecomers are seated at set points such as between movements or scene changes.
- Photography and audio or video recording are not allowed during the performance.

With children, note the playroom and nursing room on the second floor. The playroom's conditions come from an old notice on the official site, so confirm it is running on +82-51-749-7651 before the show. KOPIS also lists 해운대문화회관 as having a café, a playroom, a nursing room, and accessible parking and toilets.
