How many seats does Incheon Asiad Main Stadium have?

Incheon Facilities Management Corporation puts the main stadium at 29,376 seats and the auxiliary stadium at 5,034. KOPIS, Korea's performing-arts registry, records the same 29,376 — the two sources agree exactly. That figure is the fixed seating for football and athletics, though. A concert lays a stage, extra seating and standing areas across the natural-grass field, so the number of seats actually on sale differs from show to show.

The nine-lane athletics track is the detail concertgoers should note. Unlike a football-only ground, the track's width sits between the field and the front row, so even a "lower tier" seat here feels one step further from the stage than the same seat elsewhere.

Here is what all 29,376 seats look like when they are full.

Which stand has the best view of the stage?

Start with what is not published: the operator gives 29,376 as a single number and records no per-stand or per-tier breakdown anywhere. Seat grades therefore have to come from the promoter's own seating chart, and what the official sources can tell you is the shape of the building.

From the operator's VR tour and aerial photograph, the structure runs like this. The canopy is a crescent covering the two long sides, while both ends behind the goals are lower and open to the sky. The main stand is the tallest, with a box level and an upper tier stacked above the lower bowl; the stand opposite is a single lower tier.

Depending on which end the stage is built against, seats at the open end are often either withheld from sale or sold as restricted-view. Check which way the stage faces on the promoter's seating chart before you book.

How many parking spaces are there, and are they free?

The stadium car park holds 1,967 spaces, and the operator's FAQ states plainly that it is "open free of charge to anyone using the stadium." The same FAQ notes that a project to introduce paid parking is under way, so the pricing may have changed by the time you visit.

Worth knowing: the official site gives two different totals. The parking page says 1,967, while the facility-overview page says 2,044 (1,774 standard, 78 large, 87 accessible, 45 electric, 60 low-emission). Both tables add up correctly on their own. The overview has no "wide" or "compact" categories at all and appears to cover the whole complex, cricket ground and 36-hole park golf course included, so this guide uses the parking page's 1,967.

At 29,376 seats against 1,967 spaces, that is one space per 15 seats. For a show drawing more than 20,000 people, driving is less a plan than a race to arrive early — and the operator's own FAQ warns that "congestion is very severe during events and programmes."

Which zone has the most standard parking?

The official parking layout marks each zone's capacity by vehicle type. Pulling out the standard spaces alone gives the table below, and the total matches the official figure of 1,108 exactly.

Accessible (67), large-vehicle (74) and electric (43) spaces also reconcile exactly between the layout and the official table. The wide, compact and low-emission categories do not — the layout adds up to 616, 19 and 44 against the table's 572, 43 and 60. The four categories a driver actually navigates by agree across both sources, so you can rely on them.

Two things to plan around. First, part of the P1 lot serves as a temporary bus depot — four bus operators are listed at that address in the operator's tenant directory. Second, the Event Plaza that holds 131 standard spaces is exactly what its name says, so on a big concert day it may be given over to the event rather than to parking.

How long does it take from the subway?

The operator's own directions put both Asiad Stadium station and Seohae-gu Office station on Incheon Line 2 at about a 20-minute walk from the stadium. The station names invite you to expect otherwise.

There is a trap in the address. Incheon's Seo-gu was renamed Seohae-gu on 1 July 2026 and Geomdan-gu was split off, so the official site now prints "806 Bongsudae-ro, Seohae-gu." The address KOPIS holds for this venue still reads Seo-gu as of September 2026, and your navigation app may too. Searching for the stadium by name, or for "봉수대로 806," is the safer approach.

Where are the luggage lockers?

There are none in the stadium. The operator's official site registers no left-luggage office or lockers, and none appears in its tenant directory either. KOPIS likewise records this venue as having no restaurant, no café and no shop.

The two walkable stations will not help. Checking Korea's public dataset of unstaffed station facilities (as of 31 December 2025), neither Asiad Stadium station nor Seohae-gu Office station has registered lockers; the nearest are at Geomam station on the AREX line, about 2.7km away. Other stations on Incheon Lines 1 and 2 do appear in the same dataset, so this is a genuine absence at these two stations rather than a gap in the data.

What is there to do before the doors open?

The stadium building houses several tenants, and which of them you can reach depends on the gate you come in by.

There is also a stadium tour, covering the memorial hall, the virtual experience centre and the main stadium itself. It runs Monday to Saturday, 10:00–18:00, with last admission at 17:00, and closes on Sundays and over the New Year, Seollal and Chuseok holidays. Individual admission is free and needs no booking. Groups of 10 to 25 must book online at least seven days ahead and are taken Tuesday to Friday, 10:00–11:00. The hours work well for a look around before an evening show.

What has played at this stadium?

KOPIS lists five registered performances here as of September 2026, and every one of them is pop.

Four of the five ran across a Saturday and Sunday, and the fifth was a single Saturday. Not one was on a weekday. Treat this as a weekend venue when you plan around the parking crush and the 20-minute walk.
