KBS Hall Yeouido seating chart: 1,627 seats, the best blocks, parking rates and the nearest subway exit (checked October 2026)
KBS Hall in Yeouido seats 1,627 by its official count (961 on the first floor, 526 on the second, 140 in the pit), exactly matching KOPIS. On the chart, first-floor block C faces the stage head-on and the front of the second-floor centre shows it whole. The small visitor car park costs ₩1,000 per 10 minutes before 6 p.m. and is free after, so exit 4 of National Assembly station (Line 9, 5 min walk) is easiest.

KBS Hall (KBS홀) is the round multi-purpose hall on the grounds of the KBS headquarters at 13 Yeouigongwon-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It was completed on 30 April 1990 and opened on 7 September 1991, and it hosts KBS music-show recordings with a studio audience, KBS Symphony Orchestra concerts, award ceremonies and choir concerts. The figures below were checked in October 2026 against the KBS Hall official website, the KBS Symphony Orchestra's venue guide, the Seoul Hangang Park parking page and the KOPIS (Korea's national performing-arts database) record we hold for the venue.
How many seats does KBS Hall have?
KBS Hall has 1,627 seats according to its official introduction: 961 on the first floor, 526 on the second floor and 140 flexible seats in the orchestra pit. KOPIS registers the hall at exactly the same 1,627 seats. The totals printed in the corner of the official seating chart (pit 140, 1F 961, 2F 526, total 1,627) agree as well.
| Section | KBS Hall official | KOPIS | KBS Symphony guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st floor | 961 | — | 995 |
| 2nd floor | 526 | — | 526 |
| Pit (flexible) | 140 | — | 140 |
| Total | 1,627 | 1,627 | 1,511 |
The KBS Symphony Orchestra venue guide, however, still lists KBS Hall at 1,511 seats with 995 on the first floor as of October 2026. Its own floor figures add up to 1,661, not 1,511, so this guide uses the hall's official 1,627.
The 140 pit seats reconcile exactly when counted block by block on the chart: PA 10, PB 35, PC 50, PD 35 and PE 10. Counting the numbered seats on the first floor gives 962, one more than the official 961; at the chart's resolution that may be a misreading, so the official figure stands.
The first-floor chart marks 20 wheelchair spaces: five behind row 12 and five behind row 25 in both block B and block D. The official pages do not say whether these are included in the 961.

How do you read the KBS Hall seating chart?
On the first floor, the pit (PA to PE) sits in front of the stage, and five blocks, A to E, run from row 1 to row 25 behind it, with a cross aisle between rows 12 and 13. The second floor has three centre blocks, B, C and D (rows 1 to 13), plus two long side wings, A and E (rows 1 to 18), that run down the walls toward the stage.

- First-floor blocks B, C and D have nine seats per row. Block C ends at row 23; blocks B and D run to row 25.
- First-floor blocks A and E are side blocks that start at row 4. Rows 4 to 8 widen from 8 to 12 seats, and from row 16 back they narrow to between 2 and 7.
- Seat numbers start at 1 on the left of every block, so the aisle seats next to block C are seat 9 in block B and seat 1 in block D.
- Doors: 100 and 107 at the front of the first floor, 102 and 105 near row 12, 103 and 104 at the back; 101 and 106 for the second-floor wings and 201 and 202 for the second-floor centre.

Where are the best seats at KBS Hall?
Judging by position on the chart, the middle rows of first-floor block C face the stage head-on, the block B and D aisle seats beside block C are nearly as central and easy to get in and out of, and the front rows of second-floor blocks B, C and D give the best view of the whole stage. These are the PUBLICAi editorial team's picks based on distance and angle on the official chart, not first-hand seat reviews, and staging varies by show.
| Section | What the chart shows | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 1F block C, rows 7–15 | Faces the centre of the stage; nine seats a row, so 4–6 are the middle | Seeing faces and the full stage together |
| 1F block B seats 8–9, block D seats 1–2 | Aisle seats next to block C; around row 12 they are close to doors 102 and 105 | Getting out at the interval or after the show |
| 2F blocks B, C, D, rows 1–5 | Front of the second-floor centre, looking down at the stage | Big ensemble shows, choreography, lighting |
Block C on the first floor is dead centre, but the stage is wide enough that the front rows may have you turning your head. By the hall's own figures, the stage covers 591 pyeong of the 1,441-pyeong interior, more than the 414 pyeong of seating.
Second-floor block C is laid out a little differently. Row 1 has eight seats, and rows 2 to 5 are split by a central staircase into seats 1–3 and 4–6. In the rear section (rows 6 to 13), blocks B and D have ten seats a row and block C has nine.

Which KBS Hall seats should you think twice about?
The second-floor A and E wings, the front of first-floor blocks A and E, and the pit are close to the stage or unusually placed, so check the angle and whether they are on sale before you buy. They are not seats to avoid so much as seats whose value depends on the show.
- Second-floor wings A and E: they run down the walls toward the stage, so the front rows are close but look at it from the side. From the chart, the far end of the stage and sets placed deep on stage may be hard to see.
- Front of first-floor blocks A and E: close to the stage, at a steep side angle. Fine for seeing an artist up close; blocks B to D are better for the whole production.
- Pit seats (PA to PE): the closest seats in the house, but you look up at the stage. KBS Hall classes them as flexible seating, so they may not be sold when the orchestra pit is in use. Check whether the booking page shows them at all.
Can you park at KBS Hall, and how much does it cost?
KBS Hall audiences can use the paid KBS visitor car park beside the hall, but the KBS Hall directions page warns that space is tight and asks visitors to come by public transport if they can. The rate link on that page leads nowhere as of October 2026, so the rates below come from the KBS Symphony Orchestra's venue guide.
| Car park | Rate | Source |
|---|---|---|
| KBS visitor car park | ₩1,000 per 10 min before 6 p.m. | KBS Symphony guide |
| KBS visitor car park | Free after 6 p.m. (weekdays, weekends, holidays) | KBS Symphony guide |
| Yeouido Car Park 4 (under Yeoui 2-gyo bridge, 141 spaces) | ₩2,000 for the first 30 min, then ₩300 per 10 min | Seoul Hangang Park |
| Yeouido Car Park 4 | ₩15,000 daily maximum | Seoul Hangang Park |
At ₩1,000 per 10 minutes before 6 p.m., two hours in the KBS visitor car park costs ₩12,000. Evening shows fall in the free period after 6 p.m., but spaces fill up just before curtain, so arrive early.
The paid car park the KBS Hall page recommends nearby is Yeouido Hangang Park Car Park 4, under the Yeoui 2-gyo bridge. For navigation it suggests searching 여의도 4주차장 in T map or 샛강생태공원 주차장3 in Kakao Navi. The Seoul Hangang Park Yeouido parking page lists 141 spaces at 19 Yeouido-dong (KBS writes 19-1). The car park's phone number is 02-747-5645.

Which subway station and exit are closest to KBS Hall?
The closest station to KBS Hall is National Assembly (Gukhoe-uisadang) on Line 9: the official directions put it five minutes on foot from exit 4. You can also walk from exit 3 of Yeouido station (Lines 5 and 9), but the official guide puts that at 15 to 20 minutes, or a minimum-fare taxi ride.
| Station | Exit | Time (KBS Hall official) |
|---|---|---|
| National Assembly (Line 9) | 4 | 5 min walk |
| Yeouido (Lines 5, 9) | 3 | 15–20 min walk, or a base-fare taxi |
On the official map, you leave exit 4, walk toward Yeouido Park, and turn in by the car park entrance in front of the KBS New Building (신관), which leads to the KBS Hall lobby and the Art Hall entrance.
Two venues share the name. KOPIS separately registers a KBS홀 [별관] at 359 Yeouidaebang-ro, which is a different building, so check that your ticket gives the address as 13 Yeouigongwon-ro. Busan also has a KBS Hall; for a show there, see our Busan KBS Hall seat-view guide.
Can you bring food, drinks or flowers into the KBS Hall auditorium?
No. KBS Hall's official etiquette page says that apart from water in a bottle, drinks, food and bouquets cannot be taken into the auditorium; leave them at the lobby cloakroom and collect them after the show. Photography, video recording and audio recording are banned during performances.
- Preschool children are not admitted to general concerts unless the show says otherwise, as children's concerts do.
- The hall asks you to take your rubbish out with you and put it in a bin.
- The lobby is large, so allow about 30 minutes before the show if you need to use the cloakroom.

What should you check before booking KBS Hall tickets?
Before booking KBS Hall, check three things: the seating layout, whether pit seats are on sale, and how you will get there.
- The hall seats 1,627 by its official count (961 on the first floor, 526 on the second, 140 in the pit), the same as KOPIS. A 1,511 figure you may see elsewhere is an older number whose parts do not add up.
- On the chart, the middle rows of first-floor block C face the stage head-on, the aisle seats by block C (block B seat 9, block D seat 1) are central and easy to leave, and the front rows of the second-floor centre show the whole stage.
- The visitor car park costs ₩1,000 per 10 minutes before 6 p.m. and is small, so exit 4 of National Assembly station on Line 9, five minutes away, is the easiest way in.
