If you are bringing a bag to a show at 현대카드 언더스테이지 (Hyundai Card Understage) in Hannam-dong, Seoul, you have two options: the venue's own coin lockers or the subway lockers one station away. The venue's lockers are marked in two places on its official seating chart, but neither the number of units nor the price is published anywhere. The Line 6 lockers at Hangangjin and Itaewon publish all three. This guide counts those 76 units bank by bank and compares sizes and weekday-versus-weekend rates.
How many lockers does Hyundai Card Understage have, and what do they cost?
Neither figure is published. The official seating chart marks COIN LOCKER in two places, just outside the rear gates of the house on the right-hand side, but no official document gives a unit count or a price. Sizes are not published either.
A visitor's account from November 2024 describes a refundable system: you put in 100 won and get it back when you collect, across 50 units allocated first come first served. Effectively free, then — but unconfirmed, and even the account cannot say whether a suitcase fits. If the count or the size decides your plan, call the venue on +82-2-331-6301 first.

How many lockers are there at Hangangjin and Itaewon stations?
76 between them: 25 at Hangangjin on Line 6, and 51 at Itaewon split across two banks. Hangangjin is the closer of the two to Understage.

This is where luggage size really decides things. Neither Itaewon bank has a single medium locker, and each has just one large. If you are carrying a suitcase, Hangangjin — four large and two medium — is effectively the only option. If all four large units there are taken, one more stop on Line 6 gets you to Noksapyeong (21 units, 3 large) or Buti-gogae (9 units, 1 large).
Will a suitcase fit in a subway locker?
In a medium or a large, yes. There are three sizes: small at 50 cm wide by 30 high by 60 deep, medium at 50 by 45 by 60, and large at 50 by 90 by 60. A cabin bag needs a medium; anything checked-baggage sized needs a large.

Read alongside the previous table, the arithmetic is plain: of Itaewon's 51 units, zero are medium and two are large. Even if you had planned to walk up from Itaewon, with a suitcase it is better to get off at Hangangjin and secure a locker first.
How much more do the subway lockers cost at weekends?
The weekend base rate is 3,100 won for a small, 4,600 for a medium and 6,100 for a large — between 900 and 1,700 won more than on a weekday. The base rate covers four hours, after which an hourly surcharge applies. You pay the base when you deposit and the surcharge when you collect.

Concerts mostly fall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so the weekend column is what you will actually pay. At 3,100 won for a small locker on a Saturday, the gap against the venue's reportedly refundable 100 won is plain. Try the venue lockers first, and fall back to the subway when they are full or your bag is too big.
Drop off before the show and collect afterwards and you will usually stay inside the four-hour base. If you are planning to browse the libraries beforehand, though, four hours goes quickly — budget the extra hour, which is 1,000 won on a large.
How do the subway lockers work?
You reserve through the 또타라커 app and open the door with a one-time code. Payment takes credit cards plus PAYCO, KakaoPay, Naver Pay, KB Pay, WeChat, UnionPay and international cards including VISA, Mastercard, AMEX and JCB. Cash is not accepted.

The app booking is an advantage in practice. You can claim a unit on your way to the venue instead of arriving to hunt for a free door.
Can you visit the libraries after dropping your bag?
Hyundai Card Music Library is in the same building as Understage, and the Art Library is next door, which makes both a natural stop once your bag is stowed. The Music Library shares Understage's address at 246 Itaewon-ro; the Art Library is at 248, under a minute's walk.

Both libraries admit non-cardholders through the DIVE app on weekdays; weekends are members only. Capacity can be capped, so check the day's availability in the app before you go. The Design Library is up in Bukchon and is not a stop you tack onto an Understage evening.
Understage itself opens Tuesday to Saturday 12:00 to 21:00 and Sundays and public holidays 12:00 to 18:00, and closes over the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays. Monday is not in the schedule. Performance times are announced separately in the DIVE app.
