Incheon Munhak Stadium concert parking: the 2,000 won day rate, the prepay rule, and why only 386 of 4,002 spaces are above ground (checked September 2026)

Every rate and space count below was re-checked on 13 September 2026 against the parking, directions and main-stadium pages of the official Incheon Munhak Stadium website, the parking and directions pages of the Incheon SSG Landers Field (SSG Landers) website, and the KOPIS registry values on our Incheon Munhak Stadium venue page. The two official sources give different totals for the number of spaces, and that difference is reported as it stands.

How much is parking at Incheon Munhak Stadium on a concert day, and when does prepay apply?

Parking at Incheon Munhak Stadium is a flat day ticket, not an hourly rate: 2,000 won for a car. On ordinary days you pay on exit, but on large-event days (pro baseball, concerts) the lot switches to pay-on-entry, and the prepay window runs from three hours before the event starts until one hour after it ends. For a 7 pm show, any car arriving from 4 pm pays at the gate.

• Discounts: 50% for disabled drivers, national merit holders and low-emission vehicles, 60% for compact cars. They are not automatic: call the booth and wait for the control room to confirm.
• Free turnaround: leaving within 15 minutes of entry costs nothing, so a drop-off has to be finished inside that window.
• No refunds: both official pages state that the fee is for use of the lot and is not refunded if the concert or booking is cancelled.
• A monthly pass at 40,000 won appears only in the SSG Landers guide; the stadium's own rate table leaves that column blank.
• Parking enquiries go to the operator, Hi-Parking, on +82-70-7119-3198; the stadium's main number is +82-32-200-7507.

The flat ticket is the point: a long show or an extended encore adds nothing to the bill. The lot has been a paid, 24-hour operation since 1 January 2014.

How many parking spaces are there, and why do both 4,002 and 4,800 come up?

The two official sources disagree. The stadium's own website lists 4,800 spaces (1,600 above ground and 800 on each of basement levels 1 to 4), while the SSG Landers parking guide for the same site lists 4,002 (681 above ground, then 804, 719, 830 and 968 on basement levels 1 to 4).

Plan around the SSG Landers figure of 4,002. It matches the sum of the P1 to P6 zone counts below exactly, and the five above-ground zones (74 + 70 + 65 + 165 + 307) add up to its 681 ground spaces. The stadium's 4,800 repeats 800 for every basement level and cannot be checked zone by zone.

One rule matters more than either number. The stadium's website states that during crowded events such as concerts and baseball games, all or part of the lot, including the EV charging zone, may be closed for safety and security reasons. That is why you should not assume all 4,002 spaces are open on the night.

Which of the P1 to P6 zones can an ordinary visitor actually use?

Only P3, P4 and P5 above ground are open to ordinary visitors, and they hold 386 spaces for regular cars. According to the SSG Landers guide, the five above-ground zones are P1 to P5, but P1 is VIP-only and P2 is for resident staff and broadcast vehicles. The remaining 3,321 spaces are all in the underground P6, which is 83% of the lot.

• Disabled bays are concentrated in P5 with 149, plus 5 in P2 and 2 in P4, for 156 in all.
• P1 and P2 were never meant for visitors. Drive in because they look empty and you will be turned around.
• "Park above ground and you will get out faster" is true, but 386 spaces go to the few who arrive three hours early.

Why does leaving take so long after a concert, and how do you cut it down?

The most common complaint about Incheon Munhak Stadium parking is not "no space" but "cannot get out". The lot has few exits for its size, and the roads it opens onto, Gyeongwon-daero and Maesohol-ro, jam on their own, so reports of an hour or more to leave after a show are easy to find. With tens of thousands of people moving at once it cannot be avoided entirely, but it can be softened.

1. Treat a ground-level space as a bonus. If you cannot be there three hours early, plan on the underground P6 from the start.
2. Underground, park near the exit ramp. The distance to the ramp decides how long the crawl feels. Photograph the pillar number as soon as you park.
3. Pick your interchange in advance. The official routes are in the table below; leaving the Second Gyeongin Expressway at Munhak IC brings you in at the north gate.
4. Do not go straight to the car. Spend 30 to 40 minutes on merchandise or the toilets and you miss the worst of the queue.
5. Prepay means no payment queue. The bottleneck is the exit and the road outside, not the booth.

What if you leave the car and take the subway?

Munhak Stadium station on Incheon Subway Line 1 sits inside the stadium grounds, which makes this one of the easiest Korean stadiums to reach without a car. The official directions send bus-terminal arrivals from Incheon Bus Terminal to Incheon Terminal station, then by Line 1 to Munhak Stadium station, or on foot from the terminal in about 10 minutes. From our own visit, the exit that connects directly to the stadium is Exit 2, built extra wide for crowds.

• City buses: the "Munhak Stadium" stop by the north gate is served by routes 4, 5, 11, 27, 46, 82, 111-2 and 515; the "Munhak Stadium (Park Tae-hwan Aquatics Center)" stop by the east gate by routes 63, 754, 780-2, 522, 523 and 303.
• Do not park at nearby shops and walk over. Those lots are for their own customers, and on event days cars there can be restricted or towed.

How many seats does the Incheon Munhak Stadium main stadium have?

The stadium's website gives 49,084 seats in the main stadium, and the KOPIS (Korea Performing Arts Box Office Information System) registration holds exactly the same figure. Concerts add standing or floor sections on the pitch, so the number of tickets on sale varies by show. Can you reserve concert parking at Incheon Munhak Stadium in advance?

No. The official parking guide offers no advance booking for ordinary visitors; on big-event days it is pay-on-entry at the gate. For special cases such as group vehicles, ask the operator Hi-Parking directly on +82-70-7119-3198.

If the concert is cancelled, is the parking fee refunded?

No. Both the stadium and SSG Landers pages state in the same words that the fee is for use of the lot and is not refunded when a baseball game, concert or booking is cancelled.

Is it better to park above ground or underground?

Above ground is faster to leave, but with only 386 regular spaces most people end up in the underground P6 with 3,321. On a concert day some zones may be closed, so follow the marshals on the night.
